Wilson at Griffith Park Golf Courses

awsome and nice place in mountain of Griffith Park.
I like it to play every time!

So SLOW. Good course but it is ruined by the slow pace. Fun seeing deer and coyotes.

I would defiantly play this course again. This is a busy course, but the staff did there best to get everyone out. I love long courses, and Wilson is nice and long. It's worth playing for sure.

Wilson is a great layout for a city course. The rain has this course green everywhere with the exception of a couple of fairways. The greens are in good shape but on the slow side. Bunkers, tees, and fairways are in good shape. I was surprised by the good pace of play it took my group 4:20 to get around with almost no delays. It's nice to see wild life (deer and coyotes) during a round of golf. The facilities still need to remodel. Overall a great outing and it's great that this courses are on golfnow.

Too bad the city of Los Angeles has treated this asset like a poor step child. The fairways and greens were in good shape, but the course needs a lot of TLC.

Played Wison for the first time yesterday and could not be happier. The staff was was wonderful and the course is a gem. Loved every minute of our round. A must play for those who enjoy well designed and playable courses.

As the title suggests stay away...

I had a tee time at 12:24PM on a Saturday....

There is no starter at the tee box... all they do is give you a number when you check in... and basically you go to the tee box and find out what number the other golfers are and go in that order...

Finally was able to tee off at 1PM... yes 30 minutes of waiting...

Each hole took about 20 minutes to complete... YES 20 MINUTES!!!!

It got dark at 5pm so I was only able to play 12 holes...

Not a single marshall/ranger on the course... actually i only saw 7 employees total... 2 at the pro shop... 1 person checking you in... 1 at the cart rental... and 1 maintenance dude...

LOTS of waiting around...

never again am i coming here...

I found the staff very accomodating as a first time playing this course. Was advised that some greens were aerated. This is a very long course, but I accounted for it by playing up one set of tees.

first time in my life completing an 18 hole in almost 6 hours....very dissapointing schedule overall.
This course allows 4some with only 2 sets.
No marshall around to be found.
No 5some?
I reserve Wilson Course. I ended up at Harding. No signs to name the course you are on.
Overall both Wilson & Harding became very dissapointing.

I haven't played this course in years. I enjoyed the layout but with the fivesomes and the crowds it was not worth spending five plus hours on this course or any course for that matter. I played during the week and it was a decent pace of play about 4 and half hours. The course was as I remembered it pretty much, decent fairways, greens and tee boxes.

The course has one of the better layouts for a muni course. The course was a little, I would guess due to the drought. The greens were a little bumpy and not as nice as the putting green. Pace of play was good, but it was a Wednesday, wouldn't play here on a weekend. Overall it's a good track at a reasonable price which will always keep me coming back.

If the City would spend a little money in semi-regular maintenance, Wilson could be one of the best public courses in California. But, because they don't, the course gets an "ok" grade. Overall the course is poorly maintained. The pace of play is slow and general social personalities are rude, prejudicial and impatient.

The greens are descent but it's like putting on an upside-down salad bowl; options are uphill or downhill with a speed of slow and bumpy.

Wilson is just ok.
