Chester Washington Golf Course

We arrived around 5:15 am for a 5:32 tee time for some reason there was a fivesome ahead of us who took forever to play we finally past them at the turn only to have to wait because of the slow play of the back nine players who popped up ahead of us. The round was over 5 hours long I guess this is the normal for a Sunday

Reserved tee time for 12:48. Started playing at 1:40pm because it was extremely delayed and there were not any carts available. Staff just indicated that there are aware of the situation but that's it. Nothing done about it. We just had to wait and wait and wait. During the play, pace was extremely slow and our cart stopped, probably because it wasn't charged fully. We ended at 6:30pm. HORRIBLE TERRIBLE just UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

Had a 216p tee time and we didnt get a cart until 300p. To make matters worse the cart died in the middle of the fairway on 15 and had to push it to the side. Had to walk the remaining holes. Didn't finish the round until about 800p just as light was gone. Holes 9 and 18 had 3-4 groups backed up. Chester needs to have more carts available and better spacing because this was ridiculous. I know from now on if I play here it has to be an early morning round.

Pace of play is a nightmare here regardless (5 hour round for certain), but this one was especially egregious because of the starter coming an hour late. Course is fine and decently fun but that gets overshadowed by the initial delay and the horrendous golfers who come here with zero regard for pace of play.

First time playing and we were thoroughly impressed with the condition and friendliness of the staff! Will be back soon!

The course should tell u when u book that the greens have been pinched and sanded.

We had to wait for at least 2 groups to tee off at every hole. We were group of only 2 and when we asked if we could completely skip a hole, the group told us no. Do we need up playing 12 holes in 4 hours! No Marshall’s checking the course. Also grass was long in the fairways. We lost 4 balls even though we hit in play!

Greens were good over all good experience as always

The grass was way to thick. There were foursomes all over the course looking like search parties in search of wayward golf balls, which had a impact on the slow pace of play. Here’s an idea, cut the grass!!!!

Tee times 8 minutes apart equals a recipe for disaster.

We teed off 15 minutes after our scheduled tee time (7:20am tee time). 5 1/2 hour round. No surprise hear. Pace of play on the weekends has been horrendous at this course for the past 2 years.

If they spaced out the tee times, say 15 minutes apart, that would be amazing. Probably will never happen because they just want to get as many people on the course as possible because… money.

Greens were bumpy. Rough grass was longer than most local public courses.
