Chester Washington Golf Course

Always have a good time there, the staff is great, the course is in good shape and sneaky hard

I have played here a number of times over the past couple years. Unfortunately it’s in a steep decline. From the course to the cafe it’s all falling apart. Very sad.

Went out early to avoid the 6 hour round. I’ve played this course before and thought it would be the move to get around faster since this track is notoriously slow. Why could this course be so good? It’s a cool layout and the greens are what protects it. The greens are VERY small so why not take care of them? Understand this place gets a ton of play but it’s weird that they don’t even try and take care of it. Rough was 4” high. Lawnmower? Anyone? Slope from the blues is 112 with a 73 rating. This isn’t even close to correct. This course should have a rating of 72 with a slope of at least 120. So think about it. WHAT IF they took care of the greens, cut the rough and bought some sand? Would be a jewel in South Los Angeles. It’s not though and that’s a shame.

Course was well maintained.

Rough was a bit longer and stronger than expected, but not bad.

$57 with cart is way worth it.

Don't expect much here, used to be very fun, now it's overrun and overcrowded and they nickel and dime you as much as possible.

Greens are decent, layout is decent, track is usually average condition, but the service is PURE TRASH.

Not having enough carts is a joke. They over book the tee times. Rude arrogant staff that doesn’t care. I’ve honestly never seen anything like it. Can’t believe they’re still in business

Very pleasant course to play. Open spaces very good fairways condition. The only notice is about the bumpy greens

I like the course it’s very convenient to my home but the pace of play is so slow. It’s very difficult to enjoy yourself. It was a 51/2 hour round

A lot of beginners here, they do par12, par15 instead of par 4, par 5. No ranger here and no manner people bunch of it. I played 6hours. They should put ranger and manage course, in front of me, they did tee shot 5 times each person. Better not go this place. Worst course in my life.

Too many people on the course recording themselves playing and slowing up and lay. Took 4.5 hours for 9 holes. Couldn’t even make it to back nine.

Literally took 6 hours to finish a round started at 10:00am in the morning. If you don’t have anything going on the day of, go ahead and golf here.

We were lucky with pace of play and finished in sub 4 hours. Course is overall in decent shape, greens suck. The punches make it impossibly bumpy and not true. Not sure what the fix is…LA muni golf
