Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan - Oak Glen
About
Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan (formerly known as Sycan Resort) offers two 18-hole championship courses, Oak Glen and Willow Glen, as well as an 18-hole, par-3 course. The courses are tucked into a valley, surrounded by mountains and sloping hillsides that provide stunning backdrops on almost every hole. The Sweetwater River runs through the Oak Glen Course, coming into play on several holes including the memorable fifth hole, which is definitely a contender for one of the best par 4s in San Diego. This challenging hole requires an accurate drive across the river. The gently rolling terrain is sprinkled with mature trees. The layout features undulating greens and tight fairways. It is a challenging golf course but it is generally forgiving off of the tees, which makes it slightly less difficult than the hillier Willow Glen Course from Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan.

5 Some and Two Open Holes
We were a twosome supposed to be paired with another twosome who didnt show. So were obviously going to be right on the 2 couples ahead of us. The front 9 was 2.5 hrs and then on the back there were 2 holes open ahead of then. On 12 another cart drove by us and then joined the 2 couples ahead of us who were 2 holes behind the pace of play. So now a 5?some with 3 carts and 6 people. No marshall in sight. We actually drove around them and skipped hole 12. They charge top dollar but you dont get the commensurate service for for the price. I like the course too bad the staff lacks professionalism.
Long walk to pro shop
Course in great condition. I'm exhausted to walk my clubs from the parking lot to the pro shop. Provide a shuttle please.
Walked it as course is overseeded
It was walking only, but it allowed us to get a feel for the property. The holes were pretty straightforward and the greens in good shape. There's water early and probably water when it rains.
You may also be able to watch SDFC train there this winter and spring
So slow
Some thing must be done to improve the pace of play . It is terrible stand around at every hole waiting for the group in front of you to move.
Pace of Play
I played here in the middle of the week. The pace of play was so unbelievably slow, we quit after 12 holes and over 4.5 hours. At times there were 2 foursomes waiting at the next tee. A tournament was going on which clearly impacted everything. The tournament was NOT disclosed to me when I booked the tee time. The staff was indifferent and we weren’t given any kind of raincheck. This is just bad customer service. The course could have at least warned us ahead of time about the tournament and that we were looking at a 6 hour round BEFORE we shelled $100 per person to play. What a rip off!
Great Conditions
Course is in marvelous condition. The only thing missing were ball washers.
1st Timer
Played Oak Glen, fun and challenging with water and narrow targets. Tee boxes and fairways were in poor condition but the greens were very well kept.
Good Course but the mulch
Like the course but the mulch looks like it came from a landfill. At the price point its at you shouldn't see trash in all the mulch around the course.
Friendly place
Staff and golfers alike were friendly and accommodating. The course was in decent condition and the pace of play was excellent….when behind a slower group, they immediately let me play through, happened twice
