9th hole on Canyon. One of the most picturesque holes on the course. Tough hole that plays into the wind. Photo submitted by aliikane10 on 07/14/2017

Course was in great condition. The greens were very fast.
The course was in excellent condition. The greens were very fast. Did not want to be above the hole. Views were beautiful. Would definitely recommend and play again. Personally, I would play everyday if I could.
Great course hard greens
Smelled like manure the entire time since they recently laid some around EVERY TEE BOX. Wish I would have know.
Cinnabar Hills Delight
Cinnabar Hills Golf Course is set in the Back Hills between Almaden (San Jose, SW) and Morgan Hill. Beautiful and picturesque setting. Staff was friendly and I felt they were happy to have us experience their Course. There are 3 Nine Holes. We played Lakes and Canyon. Nicely groomed and carried for fairways - even through the dry climate season. The Greens were perfect...Fast and true. This was a beautiful golf experience and highly recommended.
Pace of play on back 9 was abysmal 3 hours on a weekday
Course was in great condition with a few muddy areas due to extra watering for a very hot week. Front 9 was a 2:20 pace which isn’t great but acceptable. Back 9 iit slowed to a crawl taking 20 plus minutes a hole. After 6 holes and 2 plus hours I gave up and drove to golf shop to see what issue was. There seemed to be one foursome holding up the rest of the golfers. When I asked golf shop staff they said they had been sending the slow group messages on the cart GPS bit it wasn’t helping. They said they were trying to get staff out to talk to them but it hadn’t happened yet. Infuriating that they will let 4 selfish and self involved golfers ruin it for everyone else on the course.
Best Public Course in the Area
We went during a heat advisory, so not a lot of people almost felt like we had the place to ourselves. We played the mountain/canyon course. Mountain is very nice and ALOT of elevated tee shots. Canyon was more flatter and had more lay up and water holes. Canyon was much harder then the mountain course. I prefer the mountain course. Can't wait to play the lake course.
This course has to be in my top 3 course in all of Monterey/Santa Cruz/ Santa Clara county. The layout and scenery is VERY beautiful, just don't forget to stop and look around every so often to take in all the views.
They have a cart girl but we only saw her once on the first hole and we tee'd off at 2ish. Carts have GPS with the updated pin location so its more accurate. Carts do drive kinda slow, and they provided 3 tees for each person on the cart.
One of Bay Areas best
Love everything about this place. Considering becoming a member.
