Worth every penny
Fantastic course, very well maintained and great overall layout. Played for the first time in the height off winter and it was in very good condition.
Poorly mentained
Played here no more than a few weeks ago ,but have to say the course has really got worse in that small space of time ,lots of muddy areas ,greens covered in heavy dew and worm holes ,winter mats are very poor ,uneven , the last fairway in particular leading up to the green was a quagmire, not sure I'd be wanting to return , especially in the winter .
Good but only got to play back 9
Good but only found out we where able play back 9 but paid for 18 and members where playing full course
Firm under foot
For a parkland course the ground was good under foot. The staff were helpful as were any members I came into contact with. All round a great round of golf.
Class course
Class course. Couldn’t fault it
Great course in great condition
We teed up on a very nice sunny ,but windy day ,the course is in excellent condition and a challenging layout ,after playing we decided to try the restaurant,we ordered the Ulster fry ,I have to say it was good fresh produce ,but not value for money ,it had the two smallest pieces of soda bread ,potato bread I have ever seen,... ,come on guys!!! ,we have just played 18 holes of golf ,this was not adequate for 2 hungry golfers ,more like a children's portion ,it sort of took the shine off what had been a very good and enjoyable round of golf .hope this review,is reviewed by who ever serves the Ulster fry and in future serves a decent sized plate of food ,Regards
Pristine condition
The course was in perfect condition. Credit to the ground staff. I really enjoyed my round
Excellent value for money
The course was in great condition with lots of holes for good scores if you are good enough.
The hills can be a bit challenging and more buggy availability would be a recommendation.
All fairways were in good condition with the greens in excellent condition. The views over Belfast were exceptional.
Good Value
Was good value for money. The layout was idea for my game, pins weren’t to punishing. Nice water features and cart paths. Well signed.
Will definitely be back.
Awesome condition
Super tight and great course. Really impressed with the greens and fairways. Very tight course
Enjoyable round
Course was in great condition. Greens were in good condition and pretty quick.
It is at least 15years since I played this course but the condition is at least 50% better. The greens are slow and spongy in places but given the rains until 4 weeks ago pretty good. The distance tee to green between some holes is tiring. For a council run course it is worth the fee.
Ancient Members
Course was in decent nick given recent weather, rough is a bit of a mess but that’s to be expected.
Our day was ruined by the groups in front, grumpy old men 2 in cart and 2 walking. Wouldn’t let me and my friend play through so we eventually just skipped a hole, one of the ancient relics shouted that “we’d better not hold them up” but I think that group was more than capable of holding themselves up. It was painful, and the attitude of the course members was an absolute disgrace.
9 minutes to look for a ball in very short rough, hands behind backs absolutely no hurry whatsoever.
Photo attached shows these 4 fine gentlemen on the green (they’d been on it for just over 10 minutes)
It’s 7.30pm here so I assume they’re just finishing off their front 9 after a 7am tee off.
Shouldn’t be open
2 hrs 40 mins for 8 holes. Absolutely shocking. Course was still waterlogged and only playing sporadic holes. Couldn’t even go out again for the second 9 as there were queues and at near 3 hours for 9 holes, definitely not .
Half course
Along with only being able to play half the course with alot of holes closed no mention on golf now about this need to update people and give them a chance to change courses or offer refund .
Very poor front 9 closed 10th hole temp green greens where shocking course should have never been open it was like a bog
