Fantastic course
Great course in top condition. Greens were immaculate. Pace of play was slow but it was a Saturday afternoon. Absolute value for money.
No disclosure about winter mats
Paid £90 for a three ball round - zero mention of mandated winter mats when booking, and only informed when went to tee off
Very disappointed in this - hate playing off mats, ruined the round and spoiled the day
Rockmount and golf now have a obligation to make this an upfront disclosure
Not worth the cost - I won’t be back
Excellent Conditions
Course was in excellent today taking into consideration the weather the night before, greens were in excellent condition and course was superb, I will definitely be playing this course a lot more during winter, also a great course in the summer.
Wet then dry
Good course, I would say one of the best and looking forward to playing here in the spring/summer.
Hot Deal at Rockmount
Always a good game of golf.
Accessible & great value!
Top Class
Has to be one of the best courses around, especially for the price. Always in great condition, can’t fault it
Great course, bit of an uphill slog
Nicely designed course, could maybe use a bit more signage to help find the next tee.
The course is quite hilly so a buggy may be required depending on fitness
One of my favourite courses and clubhouses.
I play Rockmount every six months or so, whenever I come to NI. The course is always in great Nick, with true greens and consistent bunkers. They have been hollow-timing some of the fairways and fine-timing some greens, which had been sanded. Even the greens which had been recently sanded played well. It’s clear that their maintenance schedule does everything possible to keep the course playing well, right through the year. The restaurant serves proper food with very attentive staff. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. I’m
Good course
Rockmount is one of the better courses. It can be a bit pricey but if you can get it for £25 or less it's probably worth the premium pricing.
The signature hole is the 11th and is very nice and generally there aren't many bad holes although I'm not a massive fan of the par 5 15th up the hill - it's a bit of a borefest just crashing balls up a hill and the fairway bunkers there are a bit unnecessary. Could maybe cut down the rough here to improve this hole so it's not such a slog.
Food is very nice.
Must play
From the moment you pass through the entrance of Rockmount you know you have arrived at a club that is special.
The care taken by the green staff is extremely professional. Walk into the club house and you are instantly feeling at home, friendly welcome and possibly the best food we have had in any golf club anywhere

Nice course - couple of issues
Really enjoyed the golf. Pace of play was slow tho and two locals jumped in between slots behind us with a buggy which just put pressure on the play. Let them through only to catch up to a group of 4 by the 7th and stuck behind them the rest of the course. Wish players replaced their divots more, too many of them were fresh from that day lying around and ended up replacing other players divots who had played before us. Course was in good condition tho. Greens take a bit of getting used to as many of them have a continuous slope from one end to the other, it’s like putting on a hill a lot of the time. But, thoroughly enjoyed the day and pint of Guinness after.
