Great condition but painfully slow.

Arrived a good 10-15 minutes before my tee-off time and discovered two 4-ball groups waiting on the first tee. Was informed that I had been placed with another two people for my round. Wasn't a problem as the two guys were sound. The play was painfully slow. Constantly waiting on the tee box with the 2nd of the two 4-balls as the first had just teed-off. By the time we reached the 7th, 3 groups were waiting to tee off. By the time we had teed-off on the 9th, 2 and half hours had passed. At that point my patience had worn out and I left. Really was a shame as the course looks to be well maintained. It would seem slow play might be an issue at the course as there were a number of signs reminding patrons of course etiquette to avoid it; unfortunately this wasn't being followed on the day I went. Hopefully I will be able to get back for a proper round soon.

Good course on a bad day

Weather on the day was poor with constant light rain. Despite this the course was in good condition with many nice holes, including a few water features. Did not avail of the clubhouse beverage or food, so can't comment.

Beautiful parkland course

A really lovely golf course, only let down by the condition of the greens, which had been spiked, and were therefore a lottery to play on. Given recent weather conditions, this is perfectly understandable,
and I would imagine the course will be in super condtion within a matter of a very few weeks. A course map on the back of the cards would be a nice touch, as several of the holes feature dramatic "doglegs", but these are minor complaints about a course that is a pleasure to play, especially for the very low cost involved as I booked through Golfnow.ie
