Down Royal Park Golf Course

Played this course today,really friendly staff but greens/fairways very poor.

Granted it is wet conditions course need a makeover.

Huge potential with some investment into cutting fairways/weeding the bunkeers and manicuring the greens.

Overall not worth the money and it's just a shame of what it could be.

Course was in ok condition some greens could do with a bit of work but the tee boxes where not good. Yellow spray paint on the grass as tee markers some of which had faded and couldn’t be seen.

My husband had played the course several times in previous years. He was amazed at how run down it was. There was no difference in fairway or rough grass length. Some greens were very poor. One even had holes. In summary, its become very neglected.

This could be a great place to play golf but it’s obvious there has been no money spent here for some considerable time. There is no definition between fairway and light rough and in fact there weren’t even any tee box markers when we visited.. The greens are in an atrocious state and any bunkers that still had sand in were overgrown with weeds. I realise times have been tough but even cutting the grass in the greens would be a vast improvement. The big plus is that this is Sandy ground and can be played year round but unfortunately I will need massive encouragement to return. Very helpful and friendly guy in the reception area.

Disappointed with the condition of the course. Bunkers are a joke currently and the greens could do with a bit of work too.

A bit of TLC required.

This is by far the poorest kept course I have ever seen greens where like putting in the rough unreal how poor they where, you could barely make out the greens from the fairway!!

All round shocking conditions don’t waste your time or money play else where

Nice course to play but thankfully I avoided any bunkers. Nearly all have weeds grown through them and some are close to knee high. I would play here again but the place needs some TLC.

Positives were that the course has a nice layout and holes can be both forgiving and challenging in places. Tee boxes are nicely varied to ensure fun can be had across skill levels

Greens in poor condition. Tee boxes poorly laid out. Bunkers full of weeds with very little sand. Overall very disappointing.

We played this course couple of years ago and was really looking forward to round today, it's appears that course has been let go a bit, tee boxes not well marked out, bunkers have weeds and big stones in them, will be in no rush back. Photo below is not worse bunker.

Greens were patchy, rough, hairy, impossible to read leading to a frustrating round. The bunkers were poorly maintained, little sand and most had grass growing in them!!

Greens are atrocious , hairy , patchy and not rolled .The bunkers were badly maintained, had grass growing in them and some needed filled with sand !!
