Crescent Pointe's staff consistently earns high praise for their warmth and genuine commitment to making every round memorable. The challenging layout featuring marsh hazards and fast, true-rolling greens delivers strong value in the Bluffton area.

Crescent Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton is Arnold Palmer's only public course in the area. It is conveniently located just a few minutes west of the bridge leaving Hilton Head Island. Opened in 2000, the course has quickly gained a reputation as being one of the Lowcountry's best. Sprawling across a lush landscape blanketed with century-old oaks and towering pines, the layout is as scenic as it is challenging. While the generous fairways may be player friendly, the difficult approaches to the elevated, well bunkered greens are anything but. The large, pristine white sand bunkers were designed in true Palmer-style, closely following the natural undulations of the land. The gently rolling terrain is unique for the area. Crescent Pointe Golf Club's elevation changes aren't dramatic but they do provide some subtle, but tricky undulations in the greens that make it hard to find a flat lie.

Winter conditions dictate the course conditions, so greens and fairways are a little rough. Nice layout and teamed up with some great people!!

Nice layout

Really enjoyed golfing at Crescent Pointe.

The front nine seems more difficult than the back nine.

Greens are groomed nicely and the fairways are coming along.

We encountered some male turkeys on one hole that were not friendly and actually chased us on our golf cart. That was our laugh of the day!

terrible shape

I signed up as a single. was supposed to play with a twosome at 12:04 I went to the driving range which they charge you for balls and then I went to the first tea at my time and the starter had already sent off the twosome plus the group after the twosome and I got stuck behind all of them playing as a single. It took more than 4 1/2 hours to play who is painful and the course is in terrible shape. I don’t know where they put all that money. The greens have weeds growing in them. There are no fairways.

Good Course for late winter.

Great staff, very good layout. Greens are challenging, only issue with the greens is many are having weed intrusion making for bouncing rolls. Fairways are just now starting to green up.

Great course but not in great condition.

Greens are slow and have lots of weeds especially on the front nine. Barely any grass to hit off of in the fairways. Very dry. Layout and views are great. Tough course. A different course completely when it is in good condition. Needs spring to come fast along with some rain.

Crescent Point-Big potentiel

Great layout, greens so so. Lots of polenta. A few tee boxes were pretty rough. Staff was great. We played it mi-February and the greens were in better shape.

Cold February

To be fair it's been a cold Feb around Hilton Head so the fairway and green conditions reflect this. The course overall had an entertaining layout, a good choice of tee boxes and some challenging holes. Quite a few shots requiring carrying hazards and bunkers but enough safe area to make it enjoyable for most golfers.

The course winds it's way around the development but homes are not too close to fairways. There are some long transits between holes. The cart paths are atrocious so be ready to get bounced around while on your way from hole to hole.

Great afternoon on a great course

We played CP in February, so course conditions were not ideal (dry), but certainly playable. Quick check-in and the cart was waiting - starter got us off on time. The course is typical of the area (woods, water, sand), but does open up a little bit on the front - still you have to place your shots into the landing areas - mishits can find trouble. Not sure how busy the course was, but the speed of play was slow - just the presence of a course marshall would have probably helped in that area. We played our 18 in just over 5 hours
