The golf course at Deer Run Country Club, which was redesigned by Ron Garl in 2003, utilizes its natural terrain of sparkling lakes and towering trees to create a picturesque and challenging layout. The golf course is also known for the immaculate conditions of its greens and fairways, which provide excellent putting surfaces. Deer Run Country Club features strategically placed sand traps, numerous doglegs, and water comes into play on several holes. The golf course, while challenging, is appealing to casual golfers and beginners for the beautiful setting and enjoyable, relaxing game. Deer Run Country Club is a local favorite both for the interesting layout and affordable rates.

A hidden gem

Really enjoyed it --long fairway and a bunkers.
Bunkers would need a little TLC but still enjoyed my round.

Florida Golf
We were paired with two singles. We had a great time. Course was very nice. I will return.
Great value!
Played an early morning Sunday round and looked like it would be slow with he number of groups there. Wasn't the case at all, very little waiting and no one pushing our foursome either. Helps to play with someone who knows the course as some of the holes could be confusing. Not a long course but a challenge yet fair. Look foward to returning on play again.
Nice course
Some interesting holes tucked between trees and homes. Its a good challenge but some holes are birdie holes like the short par 4 hole 12 and hole 11 a par 3.
Great shape
I used to live on this course and is always in pretty good shape, it isn't a long course but is challenging, shot making required on certain holes, and holes 16-17 are tough finishing holes!!!!
A good day
The course was not crowded which was great since we like to keep moving to keep our rhythm. We finished 18 holes in less than 3 hours - the weather was not too hot - I am 89 years old and my husband is 90 and we were not at all tired after playing since we did not have to wait interminably to play each hole.
This course can be fun to play
The course would have been fun if I hadn't overpaid for the round. The course because of its condition should have been priced at around $20/22 instead I paid $34. Good practice course, greens awfully slow. Course was in average condition.
Playable and enjoyable
This is somewhat of a busy course. The staff does their best to organize pairs and carts. Getting started is sometimes a challenge. Most players will invite you to move ahead of them if the course isn't congested.
The greens are in decent condition. It is in low wet ground but the fairway and greens drain well. Just stay on the path and all will go smoothly. If you get tempted to think you can hit over bunkers from tee think again and go the safe route then you will be rewarded with an open approach shot to the green. The greens are rolling fairly well. Go for pars on the 3 and go for birdie on the 5's. play 4's for par.

Nice layout. Course still a little wet in some places from last weeks rain.
Like the layout of the course. Greens were in pretty good shape. Don't care for driving ranges that are into a lake though. Would play here again.

Much improved
Course conditions are much better than a few months ago. Fairways are full although an uneven mix of grass and some weeds. Greens rolling well but still some barren spots. Special mention to Robert in the pro shop - very friendly and helpful. Courteous and professional.

Quick evening 9
Last tee time is at 6:00pm on Sundays. If the weather holds this is a great time to get a quick practice round in. Fairways were in great shape and only a couple of bad spots on a few greens. Very enjoyable.

Course Out of Shape
With so many good value courses in the Orlando Area. This would be my last choice if playing on a budget. All but two of the greens were under repair, rough was essentially weeds, and the tee boxes were not exactly tee boxes

Excellent experience!
Having grown up in the area, I had noticed the ups and downs with this course over the years. And buddy and me decided to play this course since it is close and familiar. We teed off exactly on time. Everyone that worked here was very friendly. We had a great time! The Fairways were nice and green, and the greens were in decent shape. The only thing I could see someone complaining about is the standing water in the bunkers. Other then that we had a great time, and the lunch included at the end was fabulous as well! Thank you Deer Run!

Getting back to its old self
Greens are in a lot better shape then I expected it's course is getting back to what it used to be great layout friendly staff great pace of play. Bunkers were a little wet due to all the rain but the maintenance crew is working hard to clean them up. Deer Run is definitely back in my rotation of Play will be back very soon.
