Eagle Trace Country Club

Older establishment. Held Honda classic in late 1980s. Clubhouse dated and could use an update along with the landscaping. That being said, ild rather money be put into a golf course. Course is a cool layout with water on most holes, but not much of a factor as fairways are wide and not much trouble down the right sides. a lot of rain had come through recently so the rough was long and thick. Fairways were nice but needed more seed so they would be more lush. Had to move the ball a bit in the fairway for better lie. Would recommend for playing under $60

As a native South Floridian, I grew up watching and visiting the Honda Classic at Eagle Trace in Coral Spring in the mid 80s to early 90s. A great layout and course design by the late Arthur Hills. The course was sold to Heritage Golf Group, and for the last 15 years, the course, clubhouse, and amenities have slowly decayed.

The course needs at least a $10 Million renovation - there are too many bald/scar patches, cracked cart paths, and landscaping needs to improve the both playability and aesthetics.

The clubhouse needs a $1 Million to $3 Million renovation to be modernized with a better kitchen and pro shop.

Overall, this course is still worth playing because of its challenging layout and friendly/competent staff. But Eagle Trace relies too much on its history and name to justify its $100+ fees most of the year.

Course is in great condition. It is one of my favorite Florida courses. The rough was very difficult, ball sinks in Bermuda rough. The greens are gentle slopes and unique shapes. This is a quality test of ball striking

Greens had been aerated and sanded…. I was not aware. That was disappointing. Other than that the course was great.

The best time to golf in S. Florida is when the snowbirds aren’t here. I had the course to myself, Great condition minus the rain on the 7th hole. Played quick and finished my round in under 2.5 hours. I was like the only one on the course and will play here till the snowbirds come back and the prices skyrocket lol

First time playing here, enjoyed the round, friendly staff will play here again.

Fun but challenging. Lots of water. Would definitely give this course another run and attack.
