Eagle Trace Country Club

I had a great time playing Eagle Trace, very surprised after all the rain, course was in great shape. This course will challenge you, it will make you play every club in your bag, it is a fair test for any golfer wanting to be challenged, bring it, I had a great time.

Greens were in perfect conditions, easy to book, friendly staff. Look forward to making this a regular course when Im in the Boca area.

Nice layout and Slope. Great green but little small. I would love to play this course again if the price go down. $58 as hot deal is a bit much compare to nicer course.

I’m quickly approaching 40 and have been playing golf since I was 6. I’ve played redneck munis and some of the best courses in the country and enjoyed both the same. I’m not a golf snob, especially now since I have 3 kids under 5 and any day on the course is a welcome respite from my day to day. With that being said, I’ve never felt compelled to ask for a refund until I played Eagle Trace.

I just moved to South Florida from North Carolina for my wife, who is from the area. I heard mixed reviews about Eagle Trace but decided to give it a go based on the reviews on this site. I noticed that pretty much every tee time was open from about 7-10 AM which is unusual for good courses in Florida this time of the year. My first thought was “they must have just aerated the greens”. So I called the pro shop to ask. No one answered in the pro shop so I was automatically transferred to a ClubLink representative who acted like she knew what aeration means and assured me the course was in fine condition.

I book the time and show up today at 7:30. The gentleman in the pro shop told me I would have a hard time out there because the greens were punched literally yesterday. Didn’t offer me a refund and said contact ClubLink. I’d been awake since 6 am and decided at least to give it a try. Also a small bucket of damaged range balls was $10. Went to the range which was mowed about rough length. The putting green was the same length and didn’t have holes cut.

Went to the first tee and there were no tee markers. Drove back and complained and the pro shop guy radioed the maintenance crew to tell them to put them out. I was told it was taken care of. Went to the first tee and the markers were thrown on the side of the tee box in a pile.

Hit a great first drive on 1 and a member of the grounds crew ran over and pulverized my ball. The greens were freshly aerated and unplayable.

Also the parking brake on our cart didn’t work.

I was playing with a new potential golf partner I just met down here so I didn’t want to seem like a diva but I’ve never experienced something so terrible in my life. Avoid this place at all costs. It probably used to be nice but it’s gone to the dogs, fast. I tried to call ClubLink - and I was hung up on twice and couldn’t reach a human person. Never felt the need to do this in my 33 years playing golf until today. A disappointing look for South Florida public/semi private golf.

Very nice trek with challenges and risk reward holes!! An enjoyable layout for most golfers!!
