Eagle Trace Country Club

I am a native South Floridian and a Broward County local who regularly different courses in the area. TPC Eagle Trace is a SOLID course for layout, conditions, pace of play, friendliness, and overall value. For reference, I played from the championship tees and am a 3.1 Handicap.

Overall: A-

Good combination of shorter Par-4s (360-390 Yds) and longer Par-4s (420-440 Yds). Par-5s were much more difficult than I remember and difficult to reach in 2 today with some windier conditions. Par-3s ranged from 171 yds to 228 Yds.

Dogleg lefts, dogleg rights. Some quality elevations and undulations (by South Florida standards). Respectable landscaping in and around the area.

Highly recommend and will be back soon enough.

Great course. Challenging greens. A great all round golf course for the price

I understand it’s not a TPC course anymore and the layout is still remarkable. It’s just not grim the way it used to be. The greens were so so and a bit shaggy the bunkers were not kept well and the tea boxes were also a bit unkempt.

Great place... fun/challenging layout. The guys that set you up with your cart are the best!!! When I book an afternoon tee time by myself, they ALWAYS honor my request and let me play alone. I'm a bit of a hacker, so I don't want to wreck someone else's round or embarrass myself to a point that it's not fun. The people here get that!! This will be my "Go to" course for years to come!! Thank you!!

Early morning tee time paid off. Played 18 under 4 hours. Course conditions good except some of the greens and tee boxes were rough.

The course only needs a little more TLC on the greens. Too many pitch marks

Pros- The golf course is fantastic and the greens are pure! The layout once upon a time was good enough to host a PGA tour event so it’s no muni. The staff here is very friendly and appreciative of your business.

Cons- This is not the place to hang out after your round and drink away your sorrows at the 19th hole. The grill room is not open until lunch time and the beer selection is mediocre. We did play on a Wednesday so beverage cart service was not offered.

I found Eagle Trace to be a very fair test. Good conditions, receptive greens.

This is the second time playing and both times we had close to 5 hour rounds. There is no marshal to help with the play of golf. To spend the type of money to play there it is not worth it.
