The course only needs a little more TLC on the greens. Too many pitch marks

Pros- The golf course is fantastic and the greens are pure! The layout once upon a time was good enough to host a PGA tour event so it’s no muni. The staff here is very friendly and appreciative of your business.

Cons- This is not the place to hang out after your round and drink away your sorrows at the 19th hole. The grill room is not open until lunch time and the beer selection is mediocre. We did play on a Wednesday so beverage cart service was not offered.

Well done the super does a great job maintaining the course!

I found Eagle Trace to be a very fair test. Good conditions, receptive greens.

This is the second time playing and both times we had close to 5 hour rounds. There is no marshal to help with the play of golf. To spend the type of money to play there it is not worth it.

It must have been superb in its day but it looks like it could really use some tender loving care

Being a senior I usually try and play the tees that are about 6,000 yards and this one is almost 6,200 from the white tees. However I forgot to look at the slope which is 135 from those tees. It was a fairly windy day and I should have played from the Green Tees which is 5,620 but a slope of 130. We were hitting many hybrids into greens and a few of the par 4’s played like short par 5’s. The course is an interesting but very challenging layout which is reflected in the slope. The next time I play this will be much more fun from the green tees. The greens and fairways were in great shape but a few tees were brown with not much green grass on them. Sand in bunkers was good as well. Some very interesting bulkheaded greens surrounded by water and tight fairways that were well trapped with water. Made for a tough 94 and I have a 14 handicap. We didn’t understand why there was no seed mixture on the cart to help repair our divots because we like to repair extra ball marks on greens and always repair our divots. Will definitely play this course again and thought it was a good value.

The layout of this course is intriguing and the holes are challenging. The staff is always friendly. Wish the pace of play was a little quicker. Would love to see a little more TLC put into this course

Very cool layout, tons of water. Unfortunately just not taken care of... conditions were pretty bad. Greens are okay but just slow. If they put any type of money into the course it good be a gem.

I enjoy playing this course, although a little more maintenance would make this place a real gem. It can be challenging if you tend to hit the ball to the left. There’s lots of water, but the fairways are fairly wide.

The outside staff (cart guys) are pleasant, but the cart girl, not so friendly. The gal inside by the bar is downright miserable. I went in there looking for water as she was standing in front of a water container. She told me I needed to see the cart girl (who wasn’t in the cart). A man sitting nearby told me the gal behind the bar would give me water, so I went back and asked again. She took her sweet time getting me the water with an attitude, which was not appreciated. It’s not like she had other customers.

Other than the beverage staff, I definitely enjoy playing this course.

The course is in good shape and the layout is very fair and gives you plenty of opportunities to score. It's a decent value for the money.
