Golfer Reviews
Great fun and lots of water.
Almost every hole is next to water except I believe 8 and 9. This made the play very fun. The bunkers are riddled with owls that burrow in the sand so this made it even more fun to avoid the sand. I found the course beautiful and pace of play perfect. My hubby and I really enjoyed it here and will be back again some day as we were only visiting from another state.
TPC level
I played this course 4+ years ago and it was in rough shape. It's significantly better now and definitely worth a play
Best local course for the mo ey
I found this course by mistake but what an amazing find. The fairways are ample and wide giving you room to stretch your driver out. You can even get some fairways woods in on the long par 5s. But don't be fooled the approach and greens are some of the most challenging around. Make a mistake and you will be reaching for a new ball.
From TPC Gem to ClubLink Disappointment
This used to be a great course when it was TPC—tons of potential here. Unfortunately, since ClubLink took over, it’s been all downhill. As a Canadian, it’s frustrating to see a Canadian company buy up quality courses just to run them into the ground. Service was poor from the start—you’re not allowed to take a cart anywhere until tee time, which likely means they’re short on carts. The course is in mediocre shape and nowhere near worth the $120 they charge. It feels like a $60 round at best. The community should consider buying it back like Parkland did—it would boost property values and bring the course back to life.
I’ve played it many times even when it was TPC Eagle Trace.
It is a great course, good layout.. but definitely needs some love.
Good bang for your buck
Great Course
Needs a little work on the greens. The 19th hole closes at 5:00pm, which is too early.
Best BANG for your Buck in South Florida
Played this course today solo and had an absolute blast. Had a tee time in the late afternoon and was able to complete my round in just under 2 1/2 hours. Fairways and Tee boxes are in overall great shape and having played a couple TPC courses in the past, you can definitely feel vibe here with some of the island like greens and big fairways. The greens were in fantastic shape and probably the best/truest i have played in south florida. Though they are hard and firm so you have to plan your misses accordingly on approach shots. Overall the views were fantastic and you don’t feel like you’re in south florida at all more like Alabama,South Carolina or even Virginia. And the coolest thing about the course today was on the 18 there is this grand stand like hill with some stairs and when i looked closely you’d notice it is home to like 10 owls just chilling there watching you putt. Very surreal to end the day. I have never wrote a review about a golf course with like close to 500 rounds played, but this one was worthy. And for under 100??? Don’t think about it, PLAY,
Great conditions for South Florida
Greens were incredible. Great experience the two days we played. Very fortunate to have phenomenal pace a play. The staff inside and out are always professional and nice. Cart person came around just the right number of times. Thank you, Eagle Trace, for the fabulous experience. -Chad Sullivan
Great challenging track
1st time playing Herr after visiting southern Fla for many years. I don't know how we missed this one. The layout is fun and challenging, conditions were very good and pace was excellent. We almost felt like we had the place to ourselves. We will definitely return
BMogolfing
Great layout and the greens were the best public course greens I’ve played in South Florida. Fairways and Tees could use a little TLC in spots but its a great value and I’ll definitely be back.
Perfect Greens
We were in Florida for 10 days. We played 7 courses. Eagle Trace was by far the best we played. The greens were as good as we have ever played in Fla. The welcome and course history we got from Rob in the Pro shop made us feel welcomed and glad we were there. Next year ET will be on top of our list and we will definitely play it more than once. Best course in South Fla.
My new LOVE hate relationship!
This was our first time playing at this course. From the get go, very well maintained! Classic look of the building from the outside. From the start, the gentleman that took our clubs super nice and informative. Nice Pro Shop, the gentleman inside was very friendly and welcoming. The course! Wow! Amazing views! Lush green.. and lots of water.. which I managed to stayed out of 95% percent of the time :). Tough holes, but large greens. Narrow fairways but lots of space… definitely will be back to lower my score! Thank you Eagle Trace for an amazing round!
