Eagle Trace Country Club

Since this course was bought out your can tell they aren't looking to invest in maintaining at a high quality. Reminds me of the old Honda classic course in coral springs. The course is not in bad shape it's just not a top tier conditions course. The sand is what gives away that they aren't looking to maintain at a high level. The sand is terrible. Cheap dark sand with rocks. 1-10 with 10 being the best the conditions are a 7 at best. Layout is a 9.5. They should charge more but should maintain better. Let's get some real golf course same in there. Yes I would play it again. I hope they don't do what they did to Honda classic. I hope they upkeep like Pembroke lakes and plantation preserve did.

I played this course when it was a tpc course. The condition is definitely not the same. You can tell that it is now run as a public course. The layout however was tremendous and very challenging. All in all it was worth the trip. Eagle trace is still a very good golf course to play

I've been playing Eagle Trace on and off for almost two decades. The conditions aren't what they were during the days when they were hosting the Honda Classic and other big time tournaments but it's still a great layout and certainly in above average condition. We played an afternoon round on a Sunday and was great value and the pace of play was reasonable. Always a enjoyable round of golf.

If I played this track again I would move to the closer tee's. I am an index of 17.3 and played from the whites which with most courses would be fine. This course however has a very challenging layout. Greens are fast and tough to read.

By all means play this golf course as it is beautiful and well maintained!

We played this under a wind advisory (40+ mph) and it rained lightly off and on. With that wind, it was actually raining sideways. We also were following a minor league tour event and were told by the starter not to crowd the group in front of us. My foursome are, let's face it - old guys. On one of the early holes, one of the tour players spent time looking for his tee shot, He had hit it into the water and instead of hitting a provisional, elected to come back to the tee where we were sitting. He hit his second into the water and then elected to drop on the forward teebox based on the line of flight. I can't stand slow play and elected to quit on the fourth hole. At the turn (2 hours 45 minutes) I took my bag off the cart and let my foursome continue without me. The groups behind us were so stacked up that we had an audience on every tee because of the event's slow play. The last group of the minor league tour event must have had open holes in front of them because they disappeared for several holes and the back nine was completed in 2 hours. I don't blame the course for any of this - it was just our bad luck. I'll try to research this course's events for our trip next year so that we don't run into this situation again. It's really worth playing. The layout is cool and the greens were magnificent.

What a great challenging course. Lots of water and sand traps but well maintained

Generally enjoyed our experience as we got on when it wasn’t too busy so the game moved along and so generally had a good experience

The course and property were generally in need of TLC but probably reflective of the rates

Course was I. Excellent shape . We booked a twosome and they joined us up with a single And we finished in 315 minutes played the whites but if I go back will move to the blues. Starter was nice and helpful and the lunch was great as recommended by the bag guy.

All the negative reviews you read about this course are true. It’s beat up. Fairways thin, rough scraggly. Greens ok, little slow. The staff we came in contact with were courteous. Round time was 4:40 on a Wednesday late morning. Waiting too long especially on par 3’s. I’d only play course if price was $45 or less.
