Golfer Reviews
Great Bones, but Needs TLC
Eagle Trace was worth the price and the 45m drive simply because the bones of the course are excellent as are the greens. It's a well designed course that's fun to play. The grass conditions, outside of the greens which are excellent, need some TLC... but that's all a money issue. Great place and I'll definitely return.
Thumbs up
Nice course, friendly staff, great pace of play. Good layout. I would recommend to friends.
WOW
We played Monday morning and what a treat From the older guy in the Pro Shop to the cart girl, we were made to feel welcomed. The greens were on the money and the course layout is one of the toughest we played this weekend. We will be back.
Best course/greens hands down — around Miami/Ft Lauderdale Area
After doing some intensive research and reading reviews, the 6 of us - decided to play this course. We played repeat(36 holes) morning and afternoon tees. Everything about this course from the TPC vibes to the restaurants to Proshop to Starter.. we were very very pleased. Mr. Lee, the starter was so nice and informative - who talked to us and made us very comfortable before heading to the 1st Tee. Thank you sir.. Mr Lee.
16 out of 18 holes were by or with water and Tee, fairways, and greens all in awesome shape. Keep up the good work on the course conditions.
We will definitely be back to play here if in/around the Miami area. 40-45 mins drive from DT Miami.. worth every penny.
Great Course
Great course in great condition. The greens were almost perfect. I will be back soon. Everyone there, especially Rob in the Pro Shop, was friendly and made you feel welcome.
Great Layout; Great Shape; Horribly Slow Play
I have not played since its decline after the loss of the TPC designation. Pleasantly surprised with the great course conditions and love the layout. Pace of play was horribly slow. No rangers around to keep play moving.
Eagle Trace
Great course
Excellent greens
Pace o play good
Really enjoyed playing this course!
great layout, water always lurking
Played quick considering it was a sunday morning...greens in great shape..Range could use some water and it was irons only...maybe trying to keep balls out of 1 and 18 : )
chicken salad was decent even if it was prepped probably one/two days earlier. I like the Veranda there post round.
It's not cheap golf but I think it's worth the price for the quality of the layout and it seems they've put money back into maintenance. The clubhouse could use a facelift. The pro shop is sparse. There's always a cart gal circling.
Don't come here if you are beginner..it's not an easy course and there's a lot of water to be managed off tee shots or fairway shots. You'll just be frustrated and lose a lot of balls
Mildly disappointed
Greens were in excellent shape. Bunkers were hard from watering. Fairways were not the way they have been in the past. Many bare spots and the grass density was almost non existent in some places. I think they have been overwatering because they have had no rain. Still a good course to play. A bit pricey for the conditions.
