About
Colonial Charters Golf Club (formerly known as Palmetto Greens) is located in Longs, S.C. near Myrtle Beach. It has a laid-back atmosphere and is known for its consistently good conditions. The layout will test your accuracy with narrow, fairways and a variety of water hazards and sand traps. Golfers will encounter water on nearly every hole, two of them feature greenside waterfalls. There are also several strategically placed bunkers throughout the golf course and mature hardwoods line the fairways. There are a few challenging holes but overall it is player friendly enough for any skill level to approach with confidence. In addition to the golf course, Colonial Charters Golf Club has a practice facility with a driving range and chipping and putting areas. For those who are still learning, there are PGA Professionals available for lessons.

isn't the same
I'm guessing they've rerouted the course to build homes. sad. i can't say I'll be back. not even for a cheap rate. I'd rather pay 20 or 40 bucks more to play something that resembles a nice golf course.
Easy to like
Came as a single & joined by one local golfer. The course was in overall good condition although there were a few fairways with some tight grass areas.The greens were good & rolled true. We were waved though by several groups so the pace was good. Will definitely return.
Long ride
Good course, will be better without all the construction and add some trash receptacles. Number 10 needs some signage. $7.50 for an egg salad sandwich quite unexpected, restraint too expensive.
Ok
The people were very friendly and helpful. The course was in a little rough condition especially the tee boxes. The greens are okay. The car pass were very rough.
Greens are in Bad shape
Nice course if the conditions were better. Greens were long, spotty and in really bad shape. I will be back but I will read reviews before to see what the conditions are
This course will be sold and turned into houses within the next couple years
Good course, but could have gotten a better rate going with senior discount in person vs. T-time.
Surprisingly nice
First time at the course, and learned that 16 holes had water. But the course was fair, and we were able to play around the hazards.
Signs Needed
Great time playing except for no signs to get you from 9th green to clubhouse, clubhouse to 10th tee, and 18th green to clubhouse. You end guessing through the subdivisions as at least 5-10 minutes away driving in the golf cart!
