The Links Course at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort is the ultimate in risk-reward golf. The architect, Tom Jackson, routed five holes along the bay and then wound the course inland across rolling undulations. In order to prevail against the blustery Gulf Coast winds, accuracy and proper club selection are essential, making it a true shot-maker's golf course. In addition to being right along the shores of the Choctawhatchee Bay, the Baytowne Marina serves as a backdrop to the course, providing even more stunning views of the Emerald Coast. Of the four championship golf courses that Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers, the Links is one of the original two and also one of the most popular. The layout offers a unique links experience that all skill levels can enjoy, especially since it features four different sets of tees.

Great layout, conditions not so great

Loved the course, but for the price not sure I’d fully consider it. I know it’s a tourist area and prices are higher (compared to Ohio prices Im use to), but I find it difficult to pay $110 on a course. Fairways were good but the two things I care about the most were mediocre. Tee boxes were pretty tore up and green we very grainy and not so good. I’d still give the course a 4/5 since it’s a course I’d play once just to see, but wouldn’t pay that high price again. I played Regatta and preferred that.

Course was very good

First time playing this course and thoroughly enjoyed my round. A nice blend of length and challenges. As well as some great scenery from the holes on the bay.

Would definitely play this course again.

Aerated greens

We played Monday 5/27/24. No mention of aeration before during or after paying. They should have discounted the fees. It had probably been a week or so, just guessing. Nice course, just wish we were warned.

Fantastic course. Shot placement and distance control are key here. This makes it a fun and challenging course. Plenty of holes look like the signature hole which made it enjoyably challenging to figure out which hole actually was the signature hole. The driving range was closed which was a downside because this is a course you absolutely need to warmup to play. Overall well worth the money. Will play again.

No Marshal No beverages

Group of 5 in front of us were all hitting multiple balls off tee. No Marshall to speed up .Never saw cart girl and can't bring own food or drinks. They should tell you at office to buy ALL you need at concession before teeing off. Then we would not of been dying of thirst after front 9. Not even water jugs on any tee boxes for this issue. That's poor management! Course definitely was challenging and pretty good shape. Will not play here again for above reasons

Relaxing

The staff was great. My first time playing and they showed me where everything was. They had great attitudes and the course was very nice. A couple groups of 5 out there but they let me play through. I will definitely be back to play.

Nice round

Overall it was an enjoyable round with my 2 sons. We were paired with a lady golfer from ATL who was really pleasant, but it would have been nice to know in advance. Amenities are fairly weak and the staff definitely needs some lessons in manners and golf etiquette. It’s amazing to me how course staff can forget who the customers are. Staff wise and overall experience stood out in stark contrast with our other 2 local course experiences.

Decent course but not worth the money. Had a 4oclock tee time and weren’t able to buy drinks at the clubhouse. They said the cart girl would be around. Never saw her and everything was closed by the time we got to the turn. Were able to get a cup of water tho!:) better off not even bringing your driver. Water forces you to layup most par 4 and 5s.

Enjoyed course, but no drink service

Enjoyed the course, but never saw the cart girl. I ran out of water at the 12th hole and called the clubhouse. They said they are trying to get the cart girl going, but she never came. Luckily there was a water fountain in the next couple of holes. Not happy!

Good course but…

The greens were aerated, but they did not provide a discount. Period also the pace of play was a bit slow. However, overall, it’s a very beautiful course with some awesome views in and a challenging layout.

Fun course, forgettable greens

The greens were clean, but that very Florida-average type. Hairy and slow and inconsistent. Not great to putt on, which has been my experience with a lot of Florida courses outside of Kelly Plantation, Camp Creek, Shark’s Tooth and a few others. The extra $50-80 to play those courses is worth it for the top tier, pro-level greens. Just my opinion. The course has a fantastic layout like most Florida courses, but the greens were a big let down.
