The Links Course at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort is the ultimate in risk-reward golf. The architect, Tom Jackson, routed five holes along the bay and then wound the course inland across rolling undulations. In order to prevail against the blustery Gulf Coast winds, accuracy and proper club selection are essential, making it a true shot-maker's golf course. In addition to being right along the shores of the Choctawhatchee Bay, the Baytowne Marina serves as a backdrop to the course, providing even more stunning views of the Emerald Coast. Of the four championship golf courses that Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers, the Links is one of the original two and also one of the most popular. The layout offers a unique links experience that all skill levels can enjoy, especially since it features four different sets of tees.

We played twice at the Links course. We enjoyed the rounds very much! The course was challenging for sure!

We felt the staff at the course could’ve been friendlier and more helpful. Nobody offered to carry our clubs to our cart nor did anyone greet us on our return.

Solid Overall

Pace of play was great. Course wouldn’t allow non-riding players but didn’t have it posted online, so we didn’t find that out until arriving which was frustrating. Conditions were excellent, but I gave it 4 stars because greens were rolling a 7-8. Way too slow. Fairways, rough, and bunkers were immaculate. Would definitely play again.

Really enjoyed it!

Loved the course. Right up there with the Raven as far as Sandestin courses. The starter talked to us about pace of play, but we were waiting every shot on the group in front of us. The food was limited at the turn. No need to play Baytowne Golf club, just stick to this and the Raven and you will love it. Great views of the bay too. Gotta be super accurate off the tee, but that makes it fun.

Course conditions were good

I feel the overall experience was good. There were several drawbacks however.

We were playing at a normal pace and got notified we were too slow. The hold up was actually at the turn because there was noone staffing the restaurant taking orders. That wasted 10-15 minutes due to the number of people waiting in line.
