The Links Course at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort is the ultimate in risk-reward golf. The architect, Tom Jackson, routed five holes along the bay and then wound the course inland across rolling undulations. In order to prevail against the blustery Gulf Coast winds, accuracy and proper club selection are essential, making it a true shot-maker's golf course. In addition to being right along the shores of the Choctawhatchee Bay, the Baytowne Marina serves as a backdrop to the course, providing even more stunning views of the Emerald Coast. Of the four championship golf courses that Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers, the Links is one of the original two and also one of the most popular. The staff is super friendly. The fairways were nice except for a few spots. The greens rolled nice! They do have a weed problem on many of the greens. Overall the course was worth the money!

Slow play

We were at twosome that played the first nine in an hour and a half, made the turn and there were three groups on number 10. Took us 2 1/2 hours to play the back. Starter was very friendly and nice. Pro shop staff were not friendly at all. Greens were OK. Very slow. For the money, it was worth it.

The links

The golf course itself was very challenging. If you’re looking for a course with beautiful views and a lot of water - this is the one. I booked during a few weeks after their aeration period was supposed to be over yet the greens still weren’t grown in. A couple holes had water leaks and so tee boxes were moved up which wasn’t an issue. I would definitely come back once greens were grown in and water issue fixed.

The Links at Sandestin

Since the greens had recently been punched, the pro shop was discounting the green fees which was nice. I really liked the course. Lots of water everywhere but there were plenty of bail out areas so you didn't feel like you had to make the perfect shot every time. Plenty of difference from the different tees to make it as difficult as you wanted. My wife and I played with a single who had played the course before so he and I played the white tees, which were the mid/short length for the men. My wife played the red tees. A very enjoyable round of golf on the gulf coast.

Convenient location with lots of water.

Overall the course was pretty nice but I wasn't aware they had punched the greens so it wasn't possible.to try and shoot a good number due to.the greens.

The course appears to stat busy but I doubt I would play there again when.they go back.to full price unless its a tournament.

Fun course

Challenging shorter course with trouble if you don't control your ball flight. 7 or 8 holes on the Chochtawatchee Bay....great views. Gotten pricey like all courses in Walton County.
