Unbelievable condition
Thoroughly enjoyed the course. Some tight strategic holes and some unfortunate holes where have to wait due to playing across/very close to nearby holes. The condition of the course however was absolutely fantastic! Credit to the green staff as can’t remember a more lush (tees/fairways/greens) and well presented course over the last 10 years of golf. Slow round as large society also playing. Definitely worth a visit (handicap 8).

First time I've played this course amazing condition greens were fast and hard to read great layout staff were friendly recommend to all golfers value for money
Amazing value for money
Loved playing this course and the greens were in fantastic condition. Little more signage to tees would have been better but absolutely loved playing here. Will be playing again.
Old member
I used to be a member 20 years ago so it was good to reminisce. The course is tough but fair with a good score there if you hit the fairways. Hard par 3s and some reachable 5’s make this a very interesting course to play
Beautiful Course
This course is stunning - with streams and raised greens all over.
A couple of crossed fairways but you can ignore them due to the condition and challenge of the course.
The course is narrow - sometimes feels like only a pin straight tee shot will do! And you best be good off the tee as the second shot is often very difficult or long!
If you like a challenge, give this course a go! Its not easy.
Winter play
Great course and I will definitely go again. Only had 2 temp greens, this was due to maintenance while we were playing, the greens are amazing but the temp greens are not worth even attempting to putt.
One thing I will say, please if your a 4 ball, let those play through if they are playing faster than you. Today we had a 4 ball hold us up on the last 5 holes.
All this aside, we had a great day and we will be back!
Great place
Course in great condition for time of year, no temporary greens or tees. Staff fantastic and members friendly.
Good condition
Nice course, quite challenging in parts, greens and fairways in great condition for this time of year (mid Oct)
Closed holes
Booked online and traveled 25 miles only to be told only 12 holes were open due to wet weather on previous days
Well Worth Seeking Out
You need a satnav to find it, but worth it. A course to think your way round and probably play at least 3 times before you score well. In great condition and staff and members very friendly. Some long walks between holes and signposting needs improvement (I got lost twice) but minor criticism. It is a lovely rural venue and in short both this course and it's near neighbour (Old Padeswood) are definitely worth playing.
Very good course and great value for money
First time we have played the course, it was great condition.
Everyone at the club was very friendly and welcoming.
The course itself was a challenge as it was tight in places, greeens were excellent.
Would 100% recommend and would definitely play again.
Tough course
Normally play at old padeswood, but thought we would try out this one. On arrival it was very welcoming. Once we had hit our first balls, and got through the first few holes, we struggled to find where the next holes were, as you have to go across the 15th to get to the 5th.. and then the yellow and whites on the 14th were 200 yards away from the reds. The course was in great condition and the greens were mint.

arrived half an hour earlier than our tee time and were greeted by very friendly lady member. after a coffee off we went to the first tee and away we went course was in fantastic condition tees and greens were top drawer ..Credit
must be given to the green staff for presenting the course to such a high standard especially for the time of year.
would certainly recommend the course and looking forward to returning.
Disapointed
We were looking forward to playing the course, we were welcomed by the club pro and was informed that temporary greens were in use, we appreciated that they had to protect the greens from the early morning frost, by the time we finished our round at midday we were still playing temporary greens. Not only did it shorten the course by a few hundred yards, putting was not possible. It spoilt our round and we felt it was not worth the cost. One of my co players was an ex green keeper and felt the greens could have been opened a lot earlier
