Baytowne at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

Tee boxes and fairways were in good shape. Sand traps have been neglected for months. Some washed out. Might find a rake every once in a while. Greens no mowed and ball marks everywhere. Safe your money and play somewhere else.

As is the case with many courses in the South this time of year, Baytowne is coming out of overseeding so the conditions are not ideal. Greens were very slow and the course was moist but that's because they need to keep the grass from getting dry. However, this is a nice track with some great holes and I would definitely play again when its' in better shape.

We always enjoy playing Baytowne. Not as soggy and wet on the course this week. Wish they’d offer specials for locals and for playing only 9 holes.

When golfing at all three courses (Raven, Baytown & Links), you're in Heaven!

We were told at booking that the course had been over seeded recently. We were not told that so much water was put on the course that conditions were very wet and carts were not allowed in the fairways. For older golfers this made for too much walking . We should have canceled our round due to course being too wet.

The Baytown course was in great condition everything from checking to finish was great .

Love playing Baytowne when we can get a good deal. Otherwise too expensive. Wish they offered 9 hole rates. Or discounts for locals.

I’ve been to sandestin many times in the past and always had a great experience. I was surprised to find the greens at Baytown look like a fairway strain of Bermuda grass has taken over. You can still see spots where there was Bermuda grass made for putting. It reminded me of playing on temporary greens cut in the fairway only much worse. It was very disappointing as they were not really playable. The pro shop told us they just had a lot of grain to them. How embarrassing it must be for them.

One of our favorite courses to play. Wish they would offer 9-hole rates.

Arrived for 8am tee time;7:45 hit balls

and teed off on time.Weather was fantastic Course conditions fairly good the greens were awful 😞 were not mowed and rolled at about a six on a stimp measure.I booked online previous day. All went smoothly except for the greens This was Saturday morning primetime

The course had a nice layout and was in good shape with the exception of the greens, which were discussed in the description on line.

Greens were not as bad as other reviews would have led me to believe, 2-3 greens were pretty rough, others were not bad, however speed of greens was very slow
