Baytowne Golf Club at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort is routed from the beach to the bay, providing stunning views along the way. The course rolls across the few elevation changes that the area has to offer. Although it opened in 1984, the golf course didn't reach its peak until it underwent extensive renovation in 2005, which were carried out by the original designer, Tom Jackson. The layout features rolling fairways lined with mature pines that are generous and times but can be tight when you least expect it. The large, undulating greens can also play faster than what you might be expecting. Water, which comes into play on 12 holes, is a prominent feature of Baytowne Golf Club as are the numerous bunkers strategically placed throughout.

The course was very good however the greens were very, very slow compared to other courses I've played. Spent 18 holes trying to get the ball to the hole. Almost seemed as though the greens were not mowed.

I didn’t have super high expectations but this course was awesome not a single filler hole or a bad lie the whole round plan on playing all 3 courses here Baytowne Links and Raven which hosted the Emerald Classic Korn Ferry event a few years ago

Rude starter

The course was not busy. We were a 2 some and both had our receipts. The starter insisted that 1 of us had not paid. Asked to see our receipts for the 2nd time; stating he needed to see the date of the receipts. He even asked us both to go back into the clubhouse to verify payment.

Nice but room for improvement.

This review isn’t much different than my last review. Enjoyed the round but the coarse was abit rough around the edges. All green needed to be cut, very slow, not a fan of having the over swinging on the green. Most tee boxes and traps ok but others abit rough. If you can get a Hot Deal, play the coarse but I wouldn’t pay full price.
