About
Baytowne Golf Club at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort is routed from the beach to the bay, providing stunning views along the way. The course rolls across the few elevation changes that the area has to offer. Although it opened in 1984, the golf course didn't reach its peak until it underwent extensive renovation in 2005, which were carried out by the original designer, Tom Jackson. The layout features rolling fairways lined with mature pines that are generous and times but can be tight when you least expect it. The large, undulating greens can also play faster than what you might be expecting. Water, which comes into play on 12 holes, is a prominent feature of Baytowne Golf Club as are the numerous bunkers strategically placed throughout.

Great vacation course.
The price is a bit steep coming from small town golf, but we’ll worth it. Great course in great shape. . Super friendly staff.

Great layout/horrendous greens
Enjoyed the layout, but the greens were in absolutely terrible shape. Apparent that they only care about churning out as many rounds as possible, and folks down on vacation are just happy to play. Would not recommend playing here at all.

Beach golf
I thought the layout was nice and the course was moderately challenging (lots of water). Unfortunately I went just after they punched and topped dressed the greens. Would be nice to get a warning about that, I would have played at another course if I knew.

Decent layout greens need help
Played with my teenagers and we liked the course but it was not in great shape. Greens were very slow and bumpy. A good mix of water and some elevation changes. Twilight rate was ok for. 65 but would not pay more

Sandy greens
The greens had been sanded and I was charged full price. That's not right. Nobody in the clubhouse told us about the sanded greens while they happily accepted my money. Also, the bunkers have very little sand. They are packed dirt and rocks and haven't been racked in a long time. The course is too pretty for these conditions and price.

Course and staff were superb!
Booked this golf course for my boyfriend as an early Father’s Day gift. He was over the moon, and so am I! The staff were helpful and kind. The other players were courtesy and timing was excellent. The course layout is beautiful crafted and the holes are dynamic and calming. Definitely will return!

Loved it
First time playing this course, not the toughest track but it was challenging and what I would consider appropriate for a “resort” course. Tame in length, on the day we played the mens tees played at about 6,100 yards. Will play again

Good challenge for all golfers
This was the first time I played Baytowne. The staff is very friendly. The course is in good condition. The greens seemed very slow to all in my group. Slow but rolled true.
I would play this course again when near Miramar Beach.

Fun Course
Fun Course, really good condition all around. We had just played after aeration so not holding that against them. Hit a personal best here the only time playing it, which means there's not a lot of hidden hazards or anything. Plenty of par 4s where driver is not the play off the tee. The only strange thing is the course layout, some holes are a solid five minute drive between the green and next teebox, which leads to a very long round.
