About
Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers four 18-hole, championship courses designed by three renowned architects. Raven Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., was carefully carved through marshes, native wetlands, and towering pine forests. Jones created a layout that is hailed for being both modern and traditional. It is also notable for how it seamlessly flows into the surrounding nature. The golf course offers plenty of variety both in shot options and visual scenery. The diverse holes are accented by dramatic changes in color and texture throughout the landscape. Water comes into play frequently and there are a number of strategically placed sand traps. Golfers are presented with a myriad of different ways to play each hole, which means thoughtful strategy is a necessity. The golf course's large, undulating greens also make proper club selection essential.

Great course, in very good condition
Course is in excellent condition, fast greens, set up to fool you on many a putt. Clientele are generally very friendly, good to play with. Now, if I can just get my game up to scratch...
There was a 2 hour frost delay...we could not play. We would like a refund!

Good course
Course is great and always in good condition. Pace of play is always slow. Always. Don’t expect a 4 hour round.

Slow pace of play due to 5 in a group..
Club allowed 5 people to play in a group in front of us so pace of play was slow. No Marshall to be seen in 18 holes. 5 players shouldn't be allowed on a course this good.

We will be back
We have played a number of courses in this area and I think this is my favorite so far. Each hole has a nice risk reward challenge. The fairways, greens, and traps were in great shape. We teed off early in the morning and rarely had to wait on the twosome ahead of us.
We played the course the next day too and we will definitely be back... quoth the raven.

Beautiful course
The course is beautiful, but that is not rare - everywhere we played at Destin area were beautiful. We feel Raven is a harder course than it’s peers - regatta bay and Kelly plantation etc. we were paired up with another two players, they were super nice and we had a great time playing here.

Sandestin's Gem
The Raven is by far the best course in the Sandestin complex. I played all three (Links, Baytowne, and Raven) and The Raven stands head and shoulders above the others. Perfectly manicured, challenging, with a thoughtful layout. The greens are fast, so go easy with the putter ... and enjoy your round !!
