About
Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers four 18-hole, championship courses designed by three renowned architects. Raven Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., was carefully carved through marshes, native wetlands, and towering pine forests. Jones created a layout that is hailed for being both modern and traditional. It is also notable for how it seamlessly flows into the surrounding nature. The golf course offers plenty of variety both in shot options and visual scenery. The diverse holes are accented by dramatic changes in color and texture throughout the landscape. Water comes into play frequently and there are a number of strategically placed sand traps. Golfers are presented with a myriad of different ways to play each hole, which means thoughtful strategy is a necessity. The golf course's large, undulating greens also make proper club selection essential.

The course was in excellent condition for being January. The greens accepted good shots and rolled well. Whenever I play here, I know it will be in good shape

Really enjoyable course
Pretty good pace of play -4 hours. The only real waiting was on the par 3's. Fairways had a lot of divots in the landing areas but 99% were filled in. Inexplicably I did not land in a divot all day. To me the greens were great. They were a lot quicker than Baytown and they really rolled smooth and true. The course has some really challenging holes. We had about 5 holes of a light to heavy drizzle but it was a good day for golf.

Golf was good-conditions, considering 3 days of rain, were very good-Greens could be a little quicker.

A wonderful course
I really enjoyed this course. It was in perfect condition and the greens were in great shape. I loved the wide fairways. I also enjoyed the Links course at the same complex, but that course is a ball eater. For scenery, The Links beats the Raven in my book, but for pure golf, The Raven wins.

Met Expectstions
In FL for a week and use these reviews to determine my course choices. The Raven didn’t disappoint. Cart GPS is huge plus if never played before. Quite a few strategy shots and course knowledge helps. Fairways were in awesome shape, greens were slick and true.
Really pretty scenery and layout. Staff was great, very helpful. The only “knock” was that a few of the bunkers had standing water, but being December and in the middle of rain very understandable. It wasn’t a big deal.
I have played Kelly Plantation and Regatta Bay, and this might be at the top for me. Perfect blend of shot difficulty. Challenging, but if you can get the ball where you want it’s a lot of fun. A definite play if you’re in the area and can go 90-110 for a round.
