About
Located right along the water, Emerald Bay Golf Club was designed by Bob Cupp to be Destin's premier full-service, 18-hole championship course. Water is a prominent feature as the course overlooks the shores Choctawhatchee Bay and incorporates water features on 12 of the holes. Oftentimes golfers will face an intimidating shot across a lake or a pond. Emerald Bay Golf Club's sculpted fairways and tight greens are always in excellent condition. There are four sets of tees that make the golf course accessible to most players' abilities and no matter what skill level you are, the views are not to be missed. The views are especially breathtaking on the back nine, which borders the bay. There is also an expansive driving range at Emerald Bay that golfers can use before playing the golf course.

Greening up nicely.
Some sections of some cart paths are in terrible shape.
They definitely need replacement.
Couldn’t finish to do slow play. Tee times were 20 behind and no one there to ranger the course. Very expensive to not finish. Many greens were in bad shape. Too bad, this was one of our favorites in years past.
"Winter" conditions
Nice layout and overall an enjoyable course to play, but fairways and greens are not yet in peak condition. Consequently, I considered the green fees were a bit high based on the overall condition of the course this time of year. Just glad I paid the Golf Now on-line rate of $119 vs booking my tee time through the clubhouse at $149.....definitely not a $149 course in February.

Nice. Challenging course with a good layout. Still some minor winter damage. But not bad. Will plY again next year.
Great layout
I would say absolutely have to play the course.
Early conditions are ok as grass starting to grow.
Greens starting to roll nice but have some bare spots.
The cart guys are awesome
Most of the staff inside pretty cool but as most course in Florida a few grumpy dudes that shouldn’t be working with people.
Got teamed up with some really great folks and that made the round more enjoyable.
Super friendly staff inside and out. We played four courses in Destin and my partners rated this #1 or #2 with regards to layout and conditions (late-February). Pace of play was great. They let us choose a free golf shirt off a rack from some promotion that we didn't even know about! The nice Puma shirt with their logo will be a favorite.
Course in fairly good shape for the time of the year
Third time to play the course in past 6 years. Condition was very good compared to other comparable courses in the area. Tee areas were fair (a little dry, crusty, patchy grass), fairways were good, greens were "green" but ran a little slow (maybe 8-10 on the stimp). Course layout is great, and that is its best feature. Play moved along well, done in 4 hours.
2nd time playing
Course is starting to green up. Pace of play is great Both times playing we played in 4 hours, no waiting. Both times as a foursome. 5 different tees to choose. Carts with GPS are in good shape. Bathrooms on course need immediate attention. I would recommend it to the average golfer

In February the course is still dormant. In the spring through October should be an awesome course

Tough to judge playing surface since the Bermuda is dormant and just starting to grow. Course bathrooms need attention. Not a bad track and pace of play was great. 4:05 for a foursome. Will play it again. Worth the play
