About
Located right along the water, Emerald Bay Golf Club was designed by Bob Cupp to be Destin's premier full-service, 18-hole championship course. Water is a prominent feature as the course overlooks the shores Choctawhatchee Bay and incorporates water features on 12 of the holes. Oftentimes golfers will face an intimidating shot across a lake or a pond. Emerald Bay Golf Club's sculpted fairways and tight greens are always in excellent condition. There are four sets of tees that make the golf course accessible to most players' abilities and no matter what skill level you are, the views are not to be missed. The views are especially breathtaking on the back nine, which borders the bay. There is also an expansive driving range at Emerald Bay that golfers can use before playing the golf course.

With most Destin courses this time of year, the course conditions are not great. I understand the situation. However, you are still being charges full price for these conditions. A price reduction would have made the experience much better.
Fun Course
In very good condition especially for this time of year. A really nice variety of holes. And as opposed to a lot of courses in the area, not dominated by views of holes (though there are some) really nice views of the Bay to the right of 16 and on the tee st 17 add to the experience. For the most part, you are winding your way through the pined and it is quite enjoyable. Well worth the green fee
Nice Course and Amenities
The staff was very friendly and even though it was getting towards the end of the dormant season the course was pretty green. The greens were pretty quick as well.
Needs attention, Disappointing
Range was nice but there was not enough balls for everyone to hit. Fairways and greens were in rough shape. Loosing some greens and lots of burned out areas in the fairways. Disappointing.
Not worth the cost
Greens were terrible. Fairways were nothing but sand and no grass
Unusual conditions
Played the course on Wednesday and the following Thursday and pins were in the same position. Greens were not mowed. This is not typical for this course. Not sure what the reason. Yes, there was rain over the weekend but not that much.
Emerald Bay
The course was a very, very nice course however, the greens were extremely slow. Almost seemed as though the greens were not cut for that day. The staff was courteous, friendly and did what they could to get the round underway.
Please mow the greens.
My first time playing Bluewater Bay
I’ve been living in PCB for over five years and playing golf in the area. During this time frame I’ve never played Bluewater Bay because of the poor ratings. I was looking for a place to play and checked out the current rating and saw that the rating had improved with some pretty good reviews so I decided to give it a try today and I really enjoyed the course. It’s not in excellent condition but it’s pretty good. I loved the layout and it’s challenging with small greens and some great views. I hope it continues to improve because I’m definitely going back.
Driving range closed. Would have appreciated a little notice.
