About
Located right along the water, Emerald Bay Golf Club was designed by Bob Cupp to be Destin's premier full-service, 18-hole championship course. Water is a prominent feature as the course overlooks the shores Choctawhatchee Bay and incorporates water features on 12 of the holes. Oftentimes golfers will face an intimidating shot across a lake or a pond. Emerald Bay Golf Club's sculpted fairways and tight greens are always in excellent condition. There are four sets of tees that make the golf course accessible to most players' abilities and no matter what skill level you are, the views are not to be missed. The views are especially breathtaking on the back nine, which borders the bay. There is also an expansive driving range at Emerald Bay that golfers can use before playing the golf course.

Good course
Golf course was a very fun layout. the conditions were nice considering the time of the year. We pretty much had the course to ourselves so my wife and played in 3 hours and 15 minutes. I assume this was rare.

great staff, great course!
By far the best course to play on the Emerald Coast as far as value is concerned. The staff there are second to none and the course is always in great shape. Great views of the bay on a couple of holes on the back nine.

Had a great round, course was pristine! I was able to hit down and thru the ball. Played well. It is so beautiful you dont even throw cigarette butts down ,lol, rolled em up and put in pocket! Defenite redo when in Destin!!
Substandard rental clubs
I have rented clubs at many courses around the US when I don’t have my own clubs with me. I have never had a worse set of clubs than those provided to me at this course. The woods we’re so overly flexible that it was impossible to hit a ball straight. All clubs were very old. . Nice course but I was sorry to have played with those clubs.

Money for location
The course overall was what I expected. Location drives prices up.
Practice area turf was beat up and very sandy so warm ups were disappointing. Putting area was normal.
Overall course shape needed some fine tuning since we paid $120 for an average course , expected more. Back 9 had a few good holes, overall thought wouldn't make me race back and play

Friendly
The golf staff was very friendly and having gps on the carts is a huge plus. We left 15” of snow in Michigan so it’s easy to say the course was in excellent condition. Sand traps are filled with white beach sand. Greens seemed a little slow, but it is December. Great course, will play again.

Great round of golf

Pace of play was painful
I don’t care how good a course is. If the round last more than 5 hours, something is wrong. No Marshall, the group in front was6 people and they we’re waiting every hole.

Accommodated a family that was traveling
Staff was very welcoming. Two more experienced golfers & two beginners in our foursome. Encouraging to our group & gave suggestions on how to enjoy the course. Course was in great off season condition.

Very few golfers on Emerald Bay
Our twosome didn’t come up to any golfers until the 12 hole and they happily let us play through!. Great layout and very nice course conditions!
