About
Located right along the water, Emerald Bay Golf Club was designed by Bob Cupp to be Destin's premier full-service, 18-hole championship course. Water is a prominent feature as the course overlooks the shores Choctawhatchee Bay and incorporates water features on 12 of the holes. Oftentimes golfers will face an intimidating shot across a lake or a pond. Emerald Bay Golf Club's sculpted fairways and tight greens are always in excellent condition. There are four sets of tees that make the golf course accessible to most players' abilities and no matter what skill level you are, the views are not to be missed. The views are especially breathtaking on the back nine, which borders the bay. There is also an expansive driving range at Emerald Bay that golfers can use before playing the golf course.

Perfect day on a perfect course.
Arrived about an hour before tee time. Checked in with their great staff. Got our adult beverages at their bar; perfect hostess. Hit some balls, putted a few, hit the course having checked in with their informative starter. Had a blast on the course. Other than my score, zero complaints.
Very dry greens
The golf course was very very dry on the fairways and especially the greens. The greens did not roll very well at all. I was very disappointed I played this course several times and it was by far in the worst shape I’ve seen it.
Certainly wasn’t worth the green fees.

Not worth the money
For how much this course costed, I expected it to be a bit nicer. Just how I felt. Super sandy tee boxes and there were quite a few greens with some pretty brutal dead spots.

Challenging but not too difficult
Had a great afternoon playing a challenging but no too did course. Green fed are reasonable and course is well maintained.

Underwhelmed
Let me start by saying the staff and especially the starter was very friendly and helpful.
The course for me was as the title says a bit underwhelming. While hole 16 had a view of the bay on the green and 17 a short par 3 went along the water the rest of it was ok. The fairways were in great shape but the greens were a bit slow and a few of the tee boxes were in rough shape for the price they charge.

Emerald Bay was truly a gem
Everything about this golf outing was fantastic.
The course was in excellent condition.
The only slight gripe is that the greens had been aerated about a week before the round. They were almost healed up but not back to 100% yet. So, putting wasn't ideal. I would liked to have seen a warning before booking the round but it was ok.

Worth playing
Nice course layout. Was still recovering from aeration so greens weren’t perfect.

Great fairways
Overall very nice - the greens were just aerated and sanded, which was unfortunate for us that day. But- the greens are in decent shape otherwise. A few have some other grasses and mold creeping. I’d go back and play it anytime though with a good deal on Golf Now- the fairways were perfect.

Pleasantly surprised!
Played Emerald Bay today and had a great time! It had rained most of the week while we’re here and decided to give this course a try. Everyone was friendly and helpful around the clubhouse. Loved the layout even though it was wet it played very well. Big fairways and nice greens that held well. Can’t wait to play again when it dries out next time we are in town. This is what playing golf in the Destin area is all about! Good job
