Rating 69.0

The golf course at Seascape Golf Beach and Tennis winds through a series of freshwater and coastal dune lakes, naturally making water a prominent feature on the course. It comes into play on fifteen of the 18 holes. Besides the shimmering blue waters, the golf course is accented by the tall pines that blanket the softly rolling hills. The strategic placement of the greens and hazards require some careful maneuvering and accuracy. The course provides a fair challenge that is made all the more difficult by the distracting scenery, which includes views from most of the holes that stretch to the Gulf of Mexico. Golfers who are short on time have the option of a nine-hole round in the afternoons. In addition to the golf course, Seascape Resort also offers a grass driving range and two practice greens.

Stayed on property for the reason of being able to play at this course, read reviews multiple times and still gave it a shot but should have listened to them. Played in the evening with my daughters, they saw their first gator on hole 6. We made the turn and after having to call the club house about one of the carts not moving (near the gator) my cart gave out on midway through hole 10. We tried calling club house again but it was after 6 pm and no one answered so we left it out there and had a cart boy go chase it. Overall probably the worst golf outing but staff is great, I assume it’s going downhill due to the future development that will be built on the course.

First time vistor

Was really disappointed in the upkeep of the course. Didn’t look well maintained compared to online pictures. Lots of dead grass in fairways and upkeep around waterways was over grown and not well keep.

Vacation golf on a budget

Seascape was a great little course for the money compared to the other resort courses near by. I arrived a little over an hour early before my tee time and the starter got myself and a local right out and on within 20 minutes of being there, I really appreciated that and was super friendly. The course conditions as far as tee boxes and fairways were a little chewed up in places but not everywhere. I thought the greens were really good not perfect but my ball rolled true, there were one or two greens that were worse than the rest. Course signage could have been better, if I hadn’t gotten paired with a local I might have had a hard time finding some of the tees. Overall great little course and would recommend it to friends and will play again.

Seascape more like Moonscape

Course layout is great but course is in very poor condition. Huge bare areas on greens and fairways.

Could be a great course but needs a lot of work

The course staff was very polite and welcoming, the conditions however were incredibly bad. If you are vacationing, and hoping for a scenic & well kept course, I would highly recommend going else where.

You get what you pay for

Most courses in the area will run you $100+ Per person. This course is much cheaper, and you don’t get the same quality. The cart paths, tee boxes, and greens were a tough scene. Other than some spots on most greens it was fine though. The staff are nice, but if you want to pay $125 for 18 holes, you’ll get much better golf. This course isn’t in great shape, but is a fun design that has some tricky holes. It’s fine if you’re playing for fun with friends, but not for serious golfers trying to get a round in.

Good Course

This course was easier and enjoyable to play at. There were some defects on the greens, probably from weather then general wear and tear, that made it difficult to putt. For being just your average golfer I was able to play and just enjoy the course in between the weather that came through.

Appreciate Seascape for what it is

I generally play at Seascape at least once when I am in Destin. If you want a resort course, there are plenty of them in the area. If you want a course that is in perfect condition, this isn’t it. If you want a course that is not super difficult to play and is fun and doesn’t take a whole day to play a round, this is your place. The people are nice and it doesn’t cost over $100 like most of the other places nearby. Give Seascape a chance and appreciate it for what it is.

Waste of time

Poor conditions as management is going to build more condos and make it an executive course. So they are not really taking care of it. IMO...

absolutely awful course conditions

This was the worst course that I’ve ever played. Conditions were abysmal. There was barely any grass and mainly just dead patches all around the course. There were more dead spots on the greens then there was actual grass. Spend the extra money and go to one of the courses that are well taken care of in the area. Biggest waste of time and money playing this awful course.

I knew this was not going to be the best course in town but I did not expect such bad conditions. This course has not been maintained at all in years.
