Diamond Hill Golf & Country Club

About
Diamond Hill Golf & Country Club in Dover, Florida stretches over rolling hills where there is no shortage of water. Dry greens are never a concern as water hazards come into play frequently throughout the golf course. The greens vary in speed from medium to fast and the fairways are lined with towering trees. In addition to the water, there are also numerous bunkers that are strategically placed throughout. The golf course has some challenging par 3s, especially if it is a windy day. With several holes playing over water and a few houses close to the golf course, well placed tee shots are essential to scoring well at Diamond Hill.

Why all twosomes?
Played on Sunday morning. Originally a booked as a threesome. Another player joined us on the first tee. The next 6 groups (maybe more) behind us all went off as twosomes. Although we played fairly quickly for a foursome, we ended up letting 6 groups play through, slowing our round down by at least a half hour. Finally, by the back nine we had a threesome behind us that didn't push us and we were able to play at a reasonable pace (finished in 4 1/2 hours). On hole number 4 the player asst./ ranger stopped by and we asked why the twosomes were not paired up into foursomes. His answer was that "some guys don't like to get paired up".
Nice layout, greens in pretty good shape, but the course is very dry, and the tee boxes are bad.
Great Layout!!!
Fun course design. Greens in great shape. Definitely coming back soon.
Not worth full price
I can’t belive that this course charge 50+$. I’m glad that I had a deal on GolfNow. Greens were ok, fairway and tee box were disgusting!
It’s sad cause the layout of the course offers a good view and have big potential.
Greens greens greens
Great layout
Good holes were strategy off the tee box is required! Super par threes, greens are excellent
Some fairways are a little bare. Overall great fun round of golf for a very low green fees
Bill
Good layout conditions very average
Good layout but course needs to work on overall conditions of the course
The course has some good holes.
It’s a nice course for the price but it needs some work on the fairway s.
Diamond hill is truly the “diamond in the rough”
Had my first experience at diamond hill with a co-worker. Played 18 holes and I was really impressed with the layout, pace of play, and friendliness of staff. I could not believe length of the nine hole. Wow! For a beginner like me the course was indeed a challenge, but I know diamond hill will be my home course from now on. The whole staff were very accommodating. They answered any and all questions I had about the history, and layout of the course and club. I’d definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Seriously consider becoming a member here. You won’t regret it!
Nice place to play for fun
It’s fairly wide open and not in great shape, especially one hole. Greens are fast and roll well except the one hole mentioned already. Has several interesting holes and a variety of tees. It’s a good value, and I like it more the more times I play it.
