Diamond Hill Golf & Country Club
About
Diamond Hill Golf & Country Club in Dover, Florida stretches over rolling hills where there is no shortage of water. Dry greens are never a concern as water hazards come into play frequently throughout the golf course. The greens vary in speed from medium to fast and the fairways are lined with towering trees. In addition to the water, there are also numerous bunkers that are strategically placed throughout. The golf course has some challenging par 3s, especially if it is a windy day. With several holes playing over water and a few houses close to the golf course, well placed tee shots are essential to scoring well at Diamond Hill.

Golfer Reviews
Diamond Hill, Lakeland fl
The course has fast challenging greens, Day I played was windy and pace of play was very slow.
Lots of dormant grass very hard and tight lies around greens.
Interesting holes, will definitely play again.
Not a fan
I found Diamond Hill to have hardpan fairways and greens so firm that even if I hit a pitching wedge onto the green (which were mostly mounded) the ball invariably rolled off. Staff was friendly, but course conditions were far from ideal.
Beautiful Layout!
I’m really impressed with all that they’ve done to open the course up. I’m a resident of Valrico/Brandon and I’m proud to have such a nice course to play in my own backyard.
Nice layout
Great greens and the Course was in good condition.
Hard Surfaces and Hardpan!
Lots of hardpan on the course. Lots of roll on fairways, but you had better place the ball in a good position. There are overhanging limbs--too often--on the fairway. If you have even a slight slice/hook the rool-off will get you in deep-deep trouble. Greens were hard, too, and would not hold. Adjustment had to be made for shots into the green!
The course was in good shape for this time of the year. The pace was good until the 15th then it started to back up. I will be back again. It was an enjoyable outing.
Love diamond hill !
Just one of my overall favorite places to play. Perfect for the fade ! Always nice and worth a try if you've never gone.
Very good condition
I played this course many times, I love the layout, it’s challenging although the maintenance was problem. Now it’s totally different, fairways and greens are amazing. I will be back soon and hope it’s condition will be kept perfectly always.
If you have all day
When I arrived there were no carts and was told drive your car up and unload your bag. Pace of play was very slow. The greens are very good and a challenge to read. And several doglegs were 90 degrees and not indicated on
the card. On the turn got a self serve hot dog but no one to take your money, just left money on the bar. The staff did not seem to care about customer service.
Excellent condition!
This course was in excellent condition especially considering that hurricane Irma recently went through there. They have done a nice job cleaning up and getting it in great playing condition.
Fun Course
Had a great time once we got started. 12 carts ahead of ours at our tee time. But it was day after Christmas. Will play again. Challenging but scored my best game ever here. Yes!
I like to think of this course as home....
It is hard but it is fair! Since Irma knocked down a few trees, it has opened the course up to some interesting chellenges, I always bring my visiting friends to play here simple because I know they will enjoy the course. I do not know of many courses that you can play after a hard rain and not play cart path only. this course drains perectly and seldom do you find a hole that is cart path only after a hard rain.
This was a great value
This was an affordable tee time at a pleasant course. Good pace of play as well.
I like the lay out
Condition of the course was good, except the greens were very slow. It was obvious the greens had just been cut, however they were quite "hairy".
What a great deal and awesome design FOR FLORIDA
Let’s get straight to the point - are you tired of flat land golfing in Florida? If so, this is your place. The course architect was able to provide the golfer with many different terrain options throughout the course! I truly fell in love with this course. Unfortunately I can’t give it a perfect rating across the board because their course isn’t well manicure from beginning to end - HOWEVER, look at the price, for the price of the greens fee — it truly is perfect. Staff, even more perfect...I have lived in Florida most of my life and never knew about this course...please spread the word and give it a try.
Ps...they have a great canned beer special!
