Diamond Hill Golf & Country Club
About
Diamond Hill Golf & Country Club in Dover, Florida stretches over rolling hills where there is no shortage of water. Dry greens are never a concern as water hazards come into play frequently throughout the golf course. The greens vary in speed from medium to fast and the fairways are lined with towering trees. In addition to the water, there are also numerous bunkers that are strategically placed throughout. The golf course has some challenging par 3s, especially if it is a windy day. With several holes playing over water and a few houses close to the golf course, well placed tee shots are essential to scoring well at Diamond Hill.

Great course
If you have not played ever or not played recently.
It's a must at this time. I'm a single digit handicap, and the blue tees were fine. The USGA recommendations were great and helped this course.
Very ungilated and totally diff than the other courses around it. New owners spent slot of time making it playable and enjoyable.
Go play I'm glad we did.
Diamond Hill
Course was in great shape. Only 2 greens were not perfect but were being worked on.
Course has amazing elevation changes
I recently tired this course 60 days ago. Purchased a house on the course, so it has become my home course. Over the past 60 days I have watched an average course really come around. They recently got new cups and flags, which were much needed. They are working on the conditions of the greens and the improvement over 60 days is amazing. I can't wait to see how much better the grounds crew can get it. This course is recommended to any Tampa golfer who is tried of flat Florida golf. I was truly amazed that most of your shots ball will be above your feet or below your feet. All of the par 3's on this course, have their own challenge. The easiest being hole 3, after that the difficulty keeps going up.
Only wish for this course is that it would be easier to get a hold of someone about an annual membership. I have called several times and it seems nobody is on staff that can help answer the questions that I have.
Keep up the great work grounds crew!
Good value - nice layout
Had a 3some and an 11am tee time-on time. Nobody behind us. Caught a backup on the 9th. Played thru on 10 and finished before 2:30. Good pace. Course is in really nice shape except for a couple greens. Look forward to playing there again.
Great pace of play
Staff were friendly. Pace of play was great. Course conditions could be proved. Several greens had a lot of sand on them. Several spots in fairways were under repair.
Shady Diamond Hill
First of all, check the GolfNow price and then call the golf shop. You'll find the deal is no deal at all! Same price! Second, the Manager Kyle is the most unfriendly person in the golf world. How he is still running the place is beyond me. Third, pace of play is so so slow. Give yourself 5+ hours or play at 7am. To many good courses to play that are way better condition and value.
In my opinion, until the manager Kyle is gone I would never go back.
We are sorry to hear of your experience. Changes have been made.
Diamond Hill golf course
good course for just hanging out with friends and having a good time
Challenge the 3 stars, not a friendly staff
Rate great course no so
Was let out early but the course was dried out greens crusty and fairwAys also.
Tough Weather Problems
After heavy winds and rain from tropical storm Hermine several trees have been lost and the turf has taken a beating. The greens are slow thin and very bumpy. The rough looks like it hasn't been mowed in weeks, good luck finding your ball. The overall maintenance of the course is suffering hopefully due to our recent weather. On the good side the drainage work done here several years ago is holding up well only one really wet spot after all that rain.
Great tplace t
Great place to play!!!!!
Even after a rain, this is still a great course to play. Very few holes that are cart path only (for us older guys). This course drains better than any of the local course that
I 've played in the in this area.
Oh what a beautiful morning
This is the first time I ever played this course and it was just beautiful the only downfall is the pace of play it seem like they started foursomes five minutes apart
Not very wet
Thought it would have been a lot wetter then it was but it was in great shape, greens were a little slow but expected that, would play again as soon as I can.
Fun time
Played this course about 1 year ago and it was terrible. Now it is in very good condition and you can't beat it for the price to play
Thank you for commenting on our golf course at Diamond Hill. The hard work being done has finally paid off and we appreciate your business.
Interesting Layout and Friendly Staff
Course had a interesting layout and the staff were very friendly. The greens were not in good condition so only giving it 4 stars.
Thank you for your feedback on our course. We are working hard to prepare the greens for this upcoming fall. They will be in excellent condition!
Thank you!
Fun 4th
Fun course. It was in good shape. Most of the greens were in excellent shape, but a hair slow. Fairways were well cut. Will go again!
Good for the money
Overall not a bad course. Layout is wide open on many holes and has a few good holes to challenge your game. A few fairways were in rough condition which I can attest to bad drainage. Back nine was the most interesting especially the 15th hole par 3.
Great Value
My wife and I enjoyed our round at Diamond Hill very much. It was a great value and will recommend to friends visiting Tampa area.
Great layout and easy to find off I75.
Lots of fun ... gentle sloping hills
Last minute booking, but a lot of fun to play on some hills for a change. Most fairways and greens in good condition, and not too hard for a high handicapper like me, bad shots are not punished too harshly.
Pace slowed after we caught the groups ahead, but finished the round in about 4 hours.
The par-3 15th hole was fun, with a long forced carry over the water, from an elevated tee (see photo).
Great day golfing
Fairways and greens in excellent condition, staff extremely friendly. Very warm day with a good breeze, just a great day all around.
Very close
This course is well on the way to being very good. I was initially disappointed in the greens as they were bumpy and spotty but they improved dramatically into the round. The course has a good lay out with elevation changes risk and reward shots and was in relatively good shape. Staff very friendly, pace fine (4 hour round) overall a good experience and I will return.
Thank you for the review!
