Bargoed Golf Club

Arrived to a rather frosty welcome, no pro shop, bar closed, no trolley or buggy available. The course was in good condition but the layout has lots of overlapping holes which felt a bit dangerous. We booked to play 18 but due to slow play left after 9

When we was en route to the course we was sceptical of what it would be like .

on arrival the clubhouse was different to what we are used to too And a small ish car park but the staff were friendly enough and some of the locals showed us where the first tee was .

The course is stunning with small greens and lots of hazards but the signage could do with being a bit more clear.

But overall would recommend to anyone to go

One of my favourite courses always in great condition. Members are always welcoming just wish it was closer to where I live so I could join.

Really recommend playing here.

Great value for money, where else can you play on a Saturday as a visitor.

Incredibly well maintained course, which matched hsome of the other reviews. Firm, true greens, great fairways. A mix of 'links' feeling holes combined with parkland holes. A few hole layouts were a bit confusing, but members assisted when I got lost. A few of the fairways also cross each other but that's fairly obvious when you're there.

Very friendly members. Indoor facilities obviously still closed due to pandemic so had to just put a neutral 'average' rating down for that.

Will definitely be back!

Narrow short holes, well kept fairways and greens, fantastic views looking out towards Breacon Beacons. Just only down fall was a few holes were crossed over so had to be very careful when teeing off incase hit other golfers. Pity no club shop as always like to have a look around before the round , office staff was nice and friendly. Another course ticked off the golf list

Nice course well kept greens were nice but very hard as soon as ball land on it roll off the other side, but that’s when you need to be be on your A game, a few fairways were crossed over with other fairways . Signage for holes could have been a little better to follow. Pity no club shop but could still buy drinks and snacks at the office. Seemed a friendly club with staff and members. Enjoyable morning

First time in nearly 7 years stillba great course with some new additions will definitely be going back

It’s a great course but there was a few stuff they could have done to improve it better signs , Get better drainage and a little information to say the course is changed a little for winter

A fab course with some of the best greens in South Wales. Always a friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be back to play it again.

Lovely mountain course. Quite a linksy feel to the front 9, with a more parkland back 9. Greens were very true. A nice mixture of holes. Fantastic value for money.
