Decent 9/18 holes
Greens pretty decent
Tees a little uneven and worn
One of my favourite short courses
If the tee boxes were level, this course would get 5 stars
Course was looking great. Greens are playing better than past experiences. If the tee boxes could be levelled off so the ball isn't above your feet on almost every hole and forcing the player to be off balance, this course would be far more enjoyable for all. The slope means falling off the ball in the back swing and even more chance of a slice. Would be great to atleast get a fair tee shot, having to contend with the slopes off a fairway is tough enough for us average golfers.
Great value for money
Excellent value for money just be careful going here as the driving range is right next to the entrance and nearly had a ball go through my windscreen
Best value golf course in Wales.
Great little course for all abilities. Too narrow to use a Driver (but you still will) so it encourages smart play and to focus on setting up the 2nd shot. Very enjoyable, not ideal for putting but a little more attention to the greens and tees and this course would would really stand out.
Very nice course.
Really really nice course. Played with a couple of friends new to golf. Staff were friendly and also members friendly and helpful. Will definately be returning. Only negative I can find was the holes didn’t seem to be clearly labelled or I may have just missed it.
Very disappointed
Sadly the course was in a really bad way it’s like the management are only interested in making money from there marquee .. I played this course in September and it was in much better condition and they was still using there winter tees and the mats was like playing off a brick
No need for driver
A decent test of golf on a course you can't really blast your way around.
Beginner Course and Cheap (not for a golfer)
It's okay, but book too many people in on the off peak times. Winter tees are not level and no space for any tees. So hopefully you love hitting off the mat. Can busy fast with slow golfers who have no curtsey to let players through when looking for balls or "reading the greens" when the green is covered in leaves are is as thick as most fairways. The fairway is as thick as most roughs. Worst hole on the course is the third (par 4) such a bad slope where even if you hit the rough to the right it will roll 50yards through the fairway onto the other side of the rough. It's badly maintaimed meaning you can easily lose balls on the fairway. Worst offenders are the green keepers who use headphones so there's no way you can let them know the ball is heading their way (balls of steel). With the discount the course is okay (£6) for beginners. Would stay away if you're a golfer.
Oversubscribed
As soon as we arrived at the first tee there were a foursome ahead of us waiting to tee off. They were kept waiting past our tee off time by a couple of very poor ability golfers. A queue soon developed as the first hole is also the tenth hole on this course. As soon as the foursome ahead of us tee,d off we knew that it was going to be a long round as they too were poor golfers. We played the first hole a-par three and then tried to play the second par five. However we were kept waiting at every stroke due to the group ( groups) ahead of us. It was impossible to get any rhythm into our game as there were too many golfers on the course who had no idea of what “can we play through meant”. On the bright side it was only £8 each but we will never play there again.
