The Aquila Golf Course facility offers two golf courses; one is a championship length course while the other is a par-3, nine-hole course. The championship course provides an excellent game of golf for an affordable price. There are scenic views of mountains and downtown Phoenix as well as a challenging layout featuring several water hazards and bunkers. Although the terrain is rather hilly, it is still relatively walkable. The course has an excellent range of holes that each have a unique character, the par 5's are especially notable. Native grasses and wildflowers are also present on Aquila's Championship course, further adding to its natural beauty.

Best Muni in AZ

This muni course is on par or even significantly better than several public options in Scottsdale that are twice as expensive. Playing at noon & 110 degrees every fairway had decent grass and all the greens were healthy and while a little slow they rolled great! There's like 5 sets of tees you can tip it out to over 6900+. Lots of variety lots of risk reward. Great lunch bar, legitimate practice area, cold drinking fountains every three or four holes. I really don't think there is a course in PHX where you can get more bang for your buck than Aguila. I'll play there any chance I get.

Decent track. Need to move groups along

Enjoyed playing Aguila for the first time since it has Ben recommended several times. I would definitely go back and play however, one recommendation I would have would be for the course to do a better job at moving groups along as there was several different times that we had to wait quite a bit for the group ahead of us. I will also say that this was a Saturday morning so that can probably be expected. Overall play time was probably not that horrible at 4 hours and 40 minutes.

I believe they have maintenance schedules online. I can’t remember when they’ll do work but I think it’s soon. Absolutely playable and a lot of fun as always. Go, you’ll have a great time.

again, playing at this course is always been a great course to play. I love how it’s set up. I love how it has tempting holes. Pay supply is good. Aguila has been/is one the better value courses in the valley. Course conditions are always good. Course offers decent yardage. Not too challenging of a course and is forgiving. I enjoyed my outing. Finished in 4hrs flat. I’ll be back soon.
