About
The Par-3 Course at Aquila is a perfect complement to the original championship course at the facility. Although the nine-hole course is easier, it still has a unique and challenging design. Conveniently located just outside of downtown Phoenix, the golf course offers an affordable option for golfers to work on their short game. Numerous bunkers and native grass roughs add some interesting elements to the game. The serene desert landscape also provides majestic views of the Estrella Mountains and the downtown Phoenix skyline. The course has two teeing areas per hole as well as driving ranges and practice greens.

Nice course for a beginner but this was more like a pitch and putt course. No pull carts available at tee time. Booked because not much else available at the last minute. I would look at playing the 18 hole course but not the 9 hole course again.

Excellent value
It was a busy Sunday late morning, so I expected a crowd. The pace evened out by the 3rd hole, so it wasn't bad at all. For the money, it's a terrific value. It was my first time out in a very long time, so the low challenge level was good for me and for beginners. I'm coming back - you can't beat the price for a round in Winter here.

Very Nice 9-Hole for Beginners or Experienced (!)
I engineered a 4-person round for a Sunday. One player had never played, but had some driving range experience. He did well, we had a good pace (after the first 3-4 hole backups_ And we had some beverages from the great restaurant. Great service, very amenable to the outside fun. Great putting green. FABULUUS mountain views! If you're looking for a great Phoenix golf city experience, you can't beat Aguila 9 for a no-water, few-traps experience for the novice and a challenge to the regular golfer :) It's a gem.

Great for Beginners
This course is perfect for my 10 year old daughter with her pull cart. The practice facilities at Aguila are nice as well. Always enjoy playing both courses.

9 vs 18
Par 3 nine hole course is short and good for players of all levels. It is utilized by those who don't know how to repair a ball mark. Took about an 1:15 to play.
18 is well maintained. Took 4 hours to play after playing through a foursome at the turn. Large greens and suitable for all players, which were in better condition than the par 3 course. Exceptional course for the money and staff was extremely friendly.
