About
The Par-3 Course at Aquila is a perfect complement to the original championship course at the facility. Although the nine-hole course is easier, it still has a unique and challenging design. Conveniently located just outside of downtown Phoenix, the golf course offers an affordable option for golfers to work on their short game. Numerous bunkers and native grass roughs add some interesting elements to the game. The serene desert landscape also provides majestic views of the Estrella Mountains and the downtown Phoenix skyline. The course has two teeing areas per hole as well as driving ranges and practice greens.

Great, friendly course!
My husband and I are from out of stare and decided to try golf. I booked this course having no golf experience and Lisa was so helpful and accommodating! She hooked us up with some clubs and the fact we could play the par 3 as much as we wanted was incredible! So fun and great course!!

All day play for cheap.
This is the perfect place to practice with your irons! Everything from 50 yards all the way to almost 200 yards. This place is great. It’s cheap and you can play all day leave come back and keep playing!

Greens in great shape
Greens are fast but fair, pace of play is on slow side because of walkers

Aguila 9 hole course
This is a really nice course. Not to hard, not to long to walk. The greens had a ton of black things on most of the greens. I don’t know what they were. That was really unusual. Normally the greens are in good shape. Overall it is a fun course to play and practice your short game..

Great for working on short game or first timers
Made a tee time for no reason and was not made aware of their "First come first serve" policy regardless of tee time. Course would be fun if if it didn't take 1 hour to play 5 holes all under 200 yards. I didn't see the last 4 holes. The green fee should have been about half of what it was along with the pull cart since the course is very small.
Overall a poor place to go if you want to play at a regular pace and not pay the price of a regulation course.

Fine if you’re on a budget
I got a “hit deal” through golfnow for $10; $14 with their fees. It’s $11 to pay at the course. Not a great bargain, golfnow. The par 3 is a walk on course-no tee time necessary- so there was a bottleneck when I was there.
Best short course
Great place to sharpen your wedge skills.... Great for all skill levels..

Great practice course
Played 9 holes walking for under $20 including push cart. Course was in good condition. Could use number of holes painted on back of hole markers too.

The 9 hole is a great warm up for their 18 course and is in decent shape.

Spray painted greens
Great 9 hole executive course. For the last 3-4 years, they have stopped over seeding and just spray paint the greens. As a result, they do not roll true and are like putting on concrete....slick. No grass, crazy roll. It’s is a shame that the city is too cheap to have real growing turf on the greens.
