South Golf Course at Granite Falls Golf Club
About
Granite Falls Golf Club offers two courses, the North Course and the South Course. Rolling hills sprinkled with stately trees and large greens define both courses. The South Course has a challenging layout that appeals to all skill levels with four sets of tees and subtle but effective bunkering. Water comes into play on 10 holes. The golf course offers a scenic finishing hole that has two lakes, joined by a cascading waterfall with a fountain in the background. In addition to the two golf courses, Granite Falls Golf Club boasts extensive practice facilities including a short game area with a practice bunker, two putting greens, and a grass driving range with target areas.

As always
The 4 Sun City Grande courses are always a treat to play in the summer when the general public can get on at fantastic prices. Only negative is they close the driving range on the North and South course around 10:30 regularly to pick it. Have heard numerous people complain about this scheduling problem. But tee boxes, fairways and greens are always awesome.
Granite falls
Great place to play. Course is in excellent condition. Staff was great.
Greenest I've seen but no pro shop
I have played all four of the courses at Sun City Grand and they are all the greenest I've seen them in the 6 years we have been in AZ. The August and September temps have been below normal and there has been more rain than usual. The pro shop has been closed for a couple of months and everything is handled out of the turn snack shop. There is no timetable for it to reopen either. It has been sitting with NO work being done! The lack of initiative to get it done keeps this course from a rare 4.5 to me. But I came for the golf and it was excellent!
Great track
Great rate great shape hole 3 not playable but we played 18 twice.
Golf Ranger had a problem
I booked the round, but was given no advisory that hole number 8 was shut down for sprinkler repairs. The pro was nice and said since we were not given proper notice, we could play a few extra holes. When we got on course the ranger said "no way are you going to play any extra holes, just give yourself a par on the missed hole". I always thought that the pros in the golf shop had the last word. Nasty golf ranger , but nice pros. When one gets old, you either grow bitter or grow better. Course was almost empty at 2 pm when we finished. The course itself was in superb condition for this time of year.
Best in Sun city
All ways in good shape from tee to green. Only issue is a lot of mowers on the course during weekdays but they are courteous and stop their motors when your playing your shot, very well managed. Always a good time playing either one of their couses!
Nice experience out there.
Actually made it there in time to loosen up N get some groove, which HELPS ! Weather sorta' cooperated as wind died down after about 5/6 holes, which had been really swirly and BRISK.
Greens rolled well after bein' punched a FEW weeks earlier so no "problemo'" there & consistently good conditions throughout is really impressive for this time O' year. Plenty of room for shots off tees but U definitely must pay attention on approach for sure.
We really enjoyed this place & give credit to the warm Folks there. TH A N K S, We'll be back !
Great Shape
This course was in great shape . The lay out is wide open but challenging.
Beautiful course!
Absolutely loved this course! It was my first time playing it and really enjoyed my round. The staff was super friendly and nice. The course was in amazing shape! Not one flaw at all. I could not ask for a better course for the price. My friends and I will definitely be back soon!!
Nice course...a little crowded
Granite Falls South is a nice course with a good layout. Greens were in pretty good shape considering how busy it is. The manager checked me in, there were 50+ people waiting to pay, however he was very friendly and helpful, nice to see since I wasn't a "local" community member. Pace was pretty slow. Other than that I would play again!!
Nice
Overall this was a fun round. Lots of water hazards. Played from the whites. Started on a shotgun start which was a little weird since we weren't told beforehand that that would be the case. Signed up through GolfNow and the staff didn't seem too pleased about that. I'm in my 30s and we were easily the youngest people there by at least 20 years (not a complaint, just an observation), and there was a TON of people, very busy course. The greens are huge and have a lot of ridges and slopes. Only gripe is we weren't provided an overhead view of any hole (nothing built into the cart and the cards only show greens) so we had a lot of blind tee shots that ended up in spots we should have avoided if we'd know they were there.
Waited on Every Shot
First, I booked on Golf Now and Paid them $33 towards our tee time. However, the course made us pay full price there and said Ehatvwe paid GN didn't matter. Then, they sandwiched a two-some in between 2 4-domes in a shotgun start. No notice that this was joe we'd be playing. Worst experience ever. Will never go back and will never recommend this course. Maybe you need to be 75+ to appreciate this pace of play and Way they play.
Fun in the sun
This course has a nice setup. The grass had been scalped getting ready for overseer. But the course was in good shape and challenging. I will definitely play here again.
First time at the course.
Great staff! Played as a single and was paired up with three other players that was a joy to play with. Course was prepping for overseed so it was scalped all over. Still fun to play and I will return.
Nice Course... True greens
The course was preparing for overseed so the fairways were cut low... Overall a nice layout with a few interesting holes like a
250 yard par 4 with water on 3 sides. Nice wide fairways and some very large greens to hit to. All in all a nice experience.
