Course Highlights
Cimarron stands out for its exceptional course conditions, with lush fairways and well-maintained greens that consistently impress golfers throughout the summer. Wide-open fairways, large greens, and a smooth pace of play make this a layout worth revisiting.

Cimarron Golf Club combines challenging golf with excellent landscaping and scenic views of surrounding mountain ranges. Although the course has many difficult elements, with four sets of tees it can easily accommodate different skill levels and abilities. The design of the golf course features numerous strategically placed bunkers and also desert waste areas. Water hazards come into play on a few holes as well. Functional yet attractive landscaping complements the course. Cimarron Golf Club, in addition to the golf course, has many practice facilities including a driving range, putting green, and short game area with a bunker.

Ghost golfers???

The course is in pretty good shape for summer. Greens are ok. I had some odd rolls. The weird part was I ran into golfers who suddenly appeared out of nowhere took their time playing the hole and once they saw I was waiting disappeared. This happened a couple times with different carts. I am not sure if golfers were just skipping holes and playing open ones or if residents were sneaking in holes without paying. Just saying you might want to send the ranger around the course once in awhile to stop these ghost golfers.

Nice track, great shap

Fairways were lush carpet for being middle of the AZ Summer. Greens were a bit slow (summer hight) but lots of break/slope.

$2.50 beers at the turn do not hurt. Will play again.

Worth a try once

The course was in really good shape, had a fun layout and would be worth playing once . The issue is they wanna charge in the top tier of green fees on the west side yet lack in value. If it weren’t for the course being in good shape I would’ve been sorely disappointed . They dont have gps on their carts, dont provide coolers , have slow paced play , no bar , an unmanned snack hut, no cart girl. I couldn’t get a drink or snack before my round or at the turn, there was just nobody in there in the middle of the day . The guy at the cart bay didn’t even acknowledge me when I brought the cart back after my round. This course is worth playing once but when other courses charge less and provide more value and have a better staff there’s really not much reason to come back.

Coming out of overseed

The course just reopened after over seeding. Greens are a bit slow but playable. The day would have been much better except for one slow couple killing the day for everyone else behind them by playing slow. They were two groups in front of me. The group directly in front of me started 45 minutes before me. I can only guess that the slow couple started over an hour before me and I caught up to the log jam on the 4th hole. It was continuous waiting on every hole and every shot after that. There was no one in front of them and they would not let anyone play through.

Great early summer conditions

I wanted to try out a Sun City Grand course and selected Cimarron. The staff was super friendly from the pro-shop to the starter to the on course marshall.

Everything was lush and green. We played as a twosome and finished in 3 hours on a Sunday morning. We did play through 2 groups on the back by invitation but didn't feel like we were ever waiting or pushing anyone.

I'll definitley play here again
