MountainView Country Club
About
MountainView Golf Club at Saddlebrooke sits at an elevation of 3,200 feet, offering both dramatic elevation changes and spectacular views. The course sits at the base of the Catalina Mountain range near Tucson, nestled into the mesquite-covered foothills. Gary Panks, the golf course's designer, saw the potential of the landscape and utilized the many natural hazards. He also incorporated subtle mounding and strategically placed bunkers that blend seamlessly into the natural terrain. Panks created a fair challenge with this layout but the wide, player-friendly landing areas makes the golf course approachable for beginners. The second hole is one of the most scenic holes on the course but it is also one of the layout's more difficult holes. Golfers will find a mesquite-filled wash crossing the fairway before facing an uphill shot to a green guarded by trees and bunkers.

Beautiful Course
The course is in beautiful shape. The only issue was the snack shop opened late and there was no car girls on the course so come prepared..
Well Done Overseeding
The course came out of overseeding very well. In a couple days, they come off of cart path only and it will be a great course to play.
The sand in the bunkers aren’t like most courses in the area, so hit the practice bunker before your round. You’ll be glad you did.
Slow pace
I only played 9 because I was a single and on pace for a 6 hour round. I love golf but a 6 hour round is not reasonable
Last day before overseed! Fantastic!
Fast pace of play, course in great shape and greens rolling fast! Great day.
Go Play
Mt View recently completed their renovation. It’s in great shape. It’s by far the best I have seen it. Heck, there’s even sand in the bunkers. Go make your tee time!
Great shape
Mt View is in the best shape I have seen it in 25 years. Even the bunkers are in excellent shape. Who knew?
Hats off to Mike and the staff at Mt View. Keep up the great work.
Response to GolfsaddleBrooke
Your response to my review in absolutely terrible and makes no sense
We told you from the start that there was a problem and you chose to ignore us. You dogged our emails and our calls and finally after a week you gathered up the courage to admit we were right all along and we will get a refund. Had you have done your job and looked into it when we asked this would have been avoided .We were very frustrated because from day 1 we told you what the problem was, not once did i say after day 1 that it was your front office staff’s problem. It was yours so we directed all inquiries to you which were met with disrespectful and rude remarks.
So i am glad you made this much easier for us to never return to any saddlebrook properties.
Also don't slander me by saying my language will not be tolerated, we waited patiently for days and in my review no foul words were used so you can go ahead and retract that statement.
By the way Kathy deserves a raise because she made the return process so much easier for us, since you were to scared to be there and refund us yourself, you pawned it off to your employees. What a great management team you got going there.
Again i want to thank Kathy for being so polite and easy going for the return process.
Fun layout...great conditions!
Played in less than 4 hours on a Sunday! Nice conditions!
Great condition in every way, t-boxes,fairways, and greens . A real pleasure to play.
New updates are very nice
Actual sand in the bunkers! A first for Tucson area courses. Good layout. Great condition. Three hour round. Cold beer. Everything you could want.
Course is very good
Paid $46.00 up front on golf now, then paid $59.00 at the golf course, other 3 players also paid $ 59.00. Not sure how that happened. Pro shop told me it was all the fees charged by golf now.. I think we all paid more than we should have.
Course was very good. The Starter was kinda gruff. We are outsiders at the club and never really feel welcome.
Great conditions...awesome pace of play!
We had not played this course in several years and it was good to be back out there! Course conditions were awesome, especially for the heat wave, but we finished in 3 and a 1/2 hours on a Sunday morning, which was fantastic.
Great course, great views.
A lot of work clearly gone into this place recently and the course looks superb. Loads of grass. A bit "firm" and the greens really hard but held a well struck shot.
Views stunning. Welcome from pro shop staff excellent. Great range and chipping / putting greens.
Only negative (hence only 4 stars) was the information from the starter on the day. Lots of "please ask our starter John for more information on the course" messages while groups being called up. When I got to the first tee, no card, no directions, no info just "you're up next". Not even "the first hole is in this direction!!. Soon as I teed off he was off elsewhere. Didn't spoil the day though.
