MountainView Country Club
About
MountainView Golf Club at Saddlebrooke sits at an elevation of 3,200 feet, offering both dramatic elevation changes and spectacular views. The course sits at the base of the Catalina Mountain range near Tucson, nestled into the mesquite-covered foothills. Gary Panks, the golf course's designer, saw the potential of the landscape and utilized the many natural hazards. He also incorporated subtle mounding and strategically placed bunkers that blend seamlessly into the natural terrain. Panks created a fair challenge with this layout but the wide, player-friendly landing areas makes the golf course approachable for beginners. The second hole is one of the most scenic holes on the course but it is also one of the layout's more difficult holes. Golfers will find a mesquite-filled wash crossing the fairway before facing an uphill shot to a green guarded by trees and bunkers.

MT view golf course
We played in just ove 3 hrs!! Course was in great shape.
Fun course and an excellent value
This was the easier of the two public courses at Saddlebrook Ranch. Fun to play with wider fairways and no blind tee shots or approaches. Course is in excellent shape with lush fairways and manicured greens that were challenging but true. Staff was very friendly and customer oriented. Great value for the money, easily within the reach of all players.
the greens are very good
the play is slow but the problem of slow play is at most courses and that's another conversation.the people are friendly, and the the course is very fair and a joy to play.
Nice course reasonably priced
Overall course is in good shape, greens are in very good shape. Course is challenging but yet fair. Would recommend it to other golfers
We enjoy this course
We enjoy this course because it doesn not have a lot of forced carry situations. It is a typical golf course through a developement so you see mostly houses. It has a variety of tees for al level of golfer.
Never have seen a smile from any one in the pro shop or a "welcome'. Strangly t he whole clubhouse closes about 2 or 3 so after that you are on your own.
Pleasant Course
Sloping Greens makes for difficult putting in winds above 12-15
mph Otherwise the course is very nice and kept in good shape.
Great course for the average to good golfer.
MountainView has enough variation in the tee box placement to make it a long challenge for the big hitter or a manageable round for the average golfer. Course is currently in excellent condition and one normally can see a n assortment of wildlife while playing a round.
Like the layout nice views
Good layout narrow fairways very good greens fast down hill putts and can have some tough pin placements. Really like the views very much enjoyed the golf there. In all very much worth the price to play will be back for some more.
Played at 1PM for $30. Great value.
2nd time I've played this course. Now a resident and plan on playing again. Good shape and great views...saw deer, quail, etc. along the way. Spent triple this amount on courses that pale in comparison.
nice course
nice course to play. good condition, nice view. good level of difficulty
Worthwhile
Course conditions were quite good and greens were above average. Enjoyable round with fairly short desert carries off the tee. Desert washes and rough will definitely penalize the errant shot. We play this course 1-2 times a month in season and is good to keep in the rotation.
Nice well kept course!
Nice course, well maintained, great views with wildlife to boot! Definetly a good time, will go back again!
Good course
The course is in great shape but the layout is a little strange. We played from the tips and the course isn't that long compared to other places the greens rolled great but are VERY fast !
oveer-all, good shape
The course is probably in the best condition it has been in, in the past eight years. The fairways are greatly improved since last year and the greens are pristine and roll great..
overall a pleasant experience
Great course layout with views. Clean with ball washers and well marked cart paths. fairways and greens in good shape.
Course in good condition and good value for money spent..
Excellent course. Well run and managed. Pace of play could be improved but still not bad. Have played and will continue to play often. Good value for the $$.
This course was a pleasure to play.
Greens and fairways were well maintained and in great shape.. Traps were in good shape.
Course was enjoyable but yet challenging
Course was enjoyable but yet challenging. Green were a little long which made putting different then I am used to.
Great Course, Variety of tees allows different skill levels to play
This one great course. The forward tees allow the short hitters to enjoy this course while the other tee sets meet the needs of the more skilled players.
There is an abundance of wildlife and incredible scenery
We were with 25 feet of three deer on the 18th green.
Clubhouse will provide a very good meal for a reasonable price.
This course is a solid challenge but is fair and reasonably priced.
I enjoy playing this course. It is not easy but by no means unfair. I've played the course now several times and it is one of my favorites in the Tucson area. Nice Pro Shop and practice facilities. It's easy to recommend Mountain View.
