MountainView Country Club
About
MountainView Golf Club at Saddlebrooke sits at an elevation of 3,200 feet, offering both dramatic elevation changes and spectacular views. The course sits at the base of the Catalina Mountain range near Tucson, nestled into the mesquite-covered foothills. Gary Panks, the golf course's designer, saw the potential of the landscape and utilized the many natural hazards. He also incorporated subtle mounding and strategically placed bunkers that blend seamlessly into the natural terrain. Panks created a fair challenge with this layout but the wide, player-friendly landing areas makes the golf course approachable for beginners. The second hole is one of the most scenic holes on the course but it is also one of the layout's more difficult holes. Golfers will find a mesquite-filled wash crossing the fairway before facing an uphill shot to a green guarded by trees and bunkers.

great condition
Turf and greens in very good condition. Over seed coverage was excellent.
very challenging number of holes
The course is tight in a lot of places and is not forgiving.
Well maintained course
Mountain view is a course that should be played if your into looking at the surroundings. Views on every hole are what makes this course a treat to play. The course is well maintained and easy to play.
Golf course has great mountain views..
Course was in good shape except for sand traps that were quite wet. Liked the greens. Good course for the average golfer. Pace of play was slow but not a problem with our four some as we enjoyed the scenery and the day..
Nice hidden treasure!!!!!
My husband and I played this course, we liked it so much we came back the next day! The greens were in excellent shape. Would definitely be playing again when we visit our kids. This is a nice hidden in treasure!! I'm new to the game, however, my husband has been golfing for a while. The course was not to difficult for me to keep up and not to easy for him.
golf course offers some challenging holes nice scenery
I play at Mountain especially in the summer very competitive pricing. The course is above average as far as difficulty, I like that I can take my wife because there is little desert that you have to carry when driving from the tee box. nice experience
Course in good shape
Just opened after overseeding, fairways are lush, greens straight but slow. Bunkers like concrete. 2 bucks for a bucket of 14 range balls is pretty cheap. Course is pretty open, great place for those with moderate skill level to have fun.
OK course
Course requires frequent playing to know the tricks. The #1 handicap hole requires a 3 or 5 wood off the tee leaving a longer shot into the green. Course condition is better than usual, greens putting pretty true.
The fairways are in very good conditions the greens are a little inconsistent
Had a real good round. Completed a foursome with two guys that were great to play with.
Challenging but has great features and enjoyable.
Great course ... getting ready for overseeding so greens and fairways were not in their normal fairly lush condition. Stay focused and attentive to what you are doing and the course is challenging but you can score well. Get lazy and hit off into the rough and or even further into the cactus and count on higher scores.
A fun time will be had by all.
A nice, accessable course. Starts on an easy opening hole, then you get the two of the hardest ones. The rest of the front nine becomes a lot easier. Includes an almost driveable par four, and a beautiful, short par three, over the water.
The back nine also has only a couple holes that might be considered hard, but most are fairly moderate.
An enjoyable golf course
The layout provides a good variety of shots requiring a golfer to think about alternative shots. The views of the mountains are enjoyable and the multiple tees provide for all level of players to enjoy a day of golf.
Nice Course.
Fun to play and challenging. They could have better directions as to which way to the next hole. The views are terrific and the Mesquite Restaurant serves great food.
course needs attention
upon arrival staff was very rude to acknowledge we were there staff was very short on answers we had on the course it self it was our first time there needless to say it was our last, course was not very well kept. carts were dirty and when we went to get carts there were privately owned carts mixed in with course carts very unorganizedstaff needs to pay more attention to detail rather than being on the computer and not paying attention to the surrounding of poeple/customers coming in
OK for a typical retirement community course. Flat with good views.
OK for a typical retirement community course. Conditions were poor but mainly due to summer heat & humidity. Staff was not very friendly. Course is flat but has some interesting holes.
Incredible day of golf
The course is in excellent condition and the greens were challenging but not overly difficult. The staff were friendly and courteous. I would recommend this course to family and friends. The views are spectacular and I saw a Bobcat walking just off the course on the back nine. My only complaint were the two men that were paired with us (myself and a girlfriend). They had terrible tempers when things did not go as they planed and threw clubs around the greens, hit numerous tee shots and parked there cart right in the path of our line of play. On the eighteenth hole one "gentleman", and I use that phrase lightly, hit a bad tee shot and threw a second ball into the desert in discussed. Not fun! I guess its a luck of the draw when you are paired with another group. Oh well, we had a great day despite their tantrums.
Mountian view from Minnesota
Good value for the money and a course that doesn't beat you up if you spray the ball a bit, still has plenty of challenges. Greens are in great shape.
