About
MountainView Golf Club at Saddlebrooke sits at an elevation of 3,200 feet, offering both dramatic elevation changes and spectacular views. The course sits at the base of the Catalina Mountain range near Tucson, nestled into the mesquite-covered foothills. Gary Panks, the golf course's designer, saw the potential of the landscape and utilized the many natural hazards. He also incorporated subtle mounding and strategically placed bunkers that blend seamlessly into the natural terrain. Panks created a fair challenge with this layout but the wide, player-friendly landing areas makes the golf course approachable for beginners. The second hole is one of the most scenic holes on the course but it is also one of the layout's more difficult holes. Golfers will find a mesquite-filled wash crossing the fairway before facing an uphill shot to a green guarded by trees and bunkers.

Great Course!
Excellent condition. Definitely not "wide open" as some other reviewers indicate. Nice challenge. Staff really pushes for 4 hour rounds which is refreshing.
The course has a good layout with a lot of wildlife.
The staff in the pro shop are not very friendly, and I get the feeling that I am inconvenience to them.
Nice layout; very playable; excellent condition
Mountain view is a desert course with wide fairways and is player friendly. We played the 6000+ tees in windy conditions and found it very challenging. The greens were in excellent shape, running fairly fast, and the pins were in "tournament locations" due to an event held earlier in the day.
I would recommend the course and will return.
The course has both challenging and easier holes. Very nice
Very friendly and helpful staff. I liked the views from some of the holes and I liked that there were some easier holes as well as those more challenging. I'm a "senior" so having a good time is important, and for me, I played well.
As for this survey, I had a difficult time moving the cursors to the places I wanted them on the lines of the 5 questions above.
Course was in real good shape. It was better than I expected.
Course was in better shape than I expected. Played it earlier this year and it was average then. But was impressed this time.
Will play it again.
Interesting course. Love to play it.
The course is in good shape overall. The greens are a bit slow but smooth. My only complaint is that the bunkers were not well-maintained, not much sand in some and unraked animal tracks in several.
Course was in excellent condition
Fairways were somewhat narrow with dessert posing problems except for the straight hitters. Greens were perfect if only a little slow. Practice facilities were second to none.
The course is iin very good condition and has challenging holes.
The course is chanlenging and is in very good condition. I would recommend playing there. I intend to golf there again.
Good course for the average golfer.
As it was Thanksgiving day the course was pretty empty so pace of play was fine and the course was in good condition.
Awesome mountain views.
Great course. The only complaint would be about the sand in the traps surrounding the greens. They could use some new sand and/or at least grooming.
Course is in geat shape.
Friendly staff and a great day of golf. It was a long drive but we enjoyed the day.
nice course, weather great. good views of mountains etc. had great time
lovely views, lots of wildlife, deer, birds, rabbits....and sure there must be more likely in the early morning
Well maintained course
Mountain view is a course that should be played if your into looking at the surroundings. Views on every hole are what makes this course a treat to play. The course is well maintained and easy to play.
Golf course has great mountain views..
Course was in good shape except for sand traps that were quite wet. Liked the greens. Good course for the average golfer. Pace of play was slow but not a problem with our four some as we enjoyed the scenery and the day..
Nice hidden treasure!!!!!
My husband and I played this course, we liked it so much we came back the next day! The greens were in excellent shape. Would definitely be playing again when we visit our kids. This is a nice hidden in treasure!! I'm new to the game, however, my husband has been golfing for a while. The course was not to difficult for me to keep up and not to easy for him.
golf course offers some challenging holes nice scenery
I play at Mountain especially in the summer very competitive pricing. The course is above average as far as difficulty, I like that I can take my wife because there is little desert that you have to carry when driving from the tee box. nice experience
Course in good shape
Just opened after overseeding, fairways are lush, greens straight but slow. Bunkers like concrete. 2 bucks for a bucket of 14 range balls is pretty cheap. Course is pretty open, great place for those with moderate skill level to have fun.
