Mountain Vista Golf Club - San Gorgonio Course

Great little course. Definitely caters to the locals. We will be back. Next time I will bring some beer and food though because there are no services at this course. You can have water only. There is talk of a beverage cart but it’s like big foot. May be a few sightings but I don’t believe it exists. Only course I have ever been to that you cannot buy a beer and a hot dog. Will know for next time though.

This is one of our favorite courses in the Palm Springs are after only play twice. Very wide, fairways and greens in very good condition and the rough was also green and consistent.

We really enjoyed this course and even with the shotgun start which seems to be typical at this course. We were the second foursome placed on the second TEe. So we had to wait for the people in front of us to tee off before we could. We expect the play to be pretty slow all day however, people seem to be pretty conscientious and play was good taking four hours to complete our 18 holes. It is a bit daunting at first when you play and show up and there are dozens of people lining up carts and many people on the putting gree trying to warm up. We got one of the last carts available even though we arrived 20 minutes early from our teatime. So the first time we go make sure you get there at least 30 minutes ahead of your start.

Weekly will try to play again for sure. Next time we return to the area.

The course was in good shape the greens a little bumpy my biggest complaint is it took me more than 30 minutes to get into the gate. And nobody cares about how long it takes so I missed my teatime by 10 minutes.

I joined a shotgun start of mostly members and had a great day on the course. The greens didn't seem to run true, but the course is in very good condition. It was a very enjoyable experience except for our check-in as the staff made me feel as if I was imposing on their day. Best thing was we finished the round in 4 hours and the weather was perfect.

Greens were questionable. Cut very short and rough. Needed to be rolled.

Very bad greens. Brown grass, divot marks on all greens. Pack down sand bunkers.

No on course food or drinks. Unfriendly golf shop staffs. No cart and golf bag service.

Good Driving range.

Booked a 1 pm tee time through GolfNow, but didn’t realize it was a shotgun start, which was OK. The tee boxes and fairways were in great shape, but the greens had recently been dressed and were quite dry when we started the round. By the time we finished the round, the greens were completely brown, and did not roll good at all. We enjoyed the course, but the condition on the greens were a negative for us.

I forgot my water bottle, then I missed the first water station, no place to get food or water after nine. I'm getting parched! Come to the next and last water station, no cups or water. Was starving and parched when I finished at 2pm. 75 degrees today. I hope other first timers here see this post so they can pack a lunch and bring plenty of fluids. Besides that it was a very present day.

Played in a non-stop rain. Beautiful course in very good condition.

Super fun and moderately challenging layout. Fairways are wide and easy to hit. Greens were in excellent condition. Not a lot of amenities...no water provided on the course and no GPS in the carts. I would definitely play again while in the area.

The staff ( fashionable and cool lady) was so great

One of my friend’s brother passed away when we were there and had to leave the course.

So we were back to the starter and sent him home and asked the lady at the starter to see if we can play for the start.

She kindly accommodated us to play from the start.

Very friendly and courteous.

Highly respectful lady.

I will recommend to all my friends and will go again and play.

The course layout is good to great. And easy to play.
