Mountain Vista Golf Club - San Gorgonio Course

Very bad greens. Brown grass, divot marks on all greens. Pack down sand bunkers.

No on course food or drinks. Unfriendly golf shop staffs. No cart and golf bag service.

Good Driving range.

Booked a 1 pm tee time through GolfNow, but didn’t realize it was a shotgun start, which was OK. The tee boxes and fairways were in great shape, but the greens had recently been dressed and were quite dry when we started the round. By the time we finished the round, the greens were completely brown, and did not roll good at all. We enjoyed the course, but the condition on the greens were a negative for us.

I forgot my water bottle, then I missed the first water station, no place to get food or water after nine. I'm getting parched! Come to the next and last water station, no cups or water. Was starving and parched when I finished at 2pm. 75 degrees today. I hope other first timers here see this post so they can pack a lunch and bring plenty of fluids. Besides that it was a very present day.

Played in a non-stop rain. Beautiful course in very good condition.

Super fun and moderately challenging layout. Fairways are wide and easy to hit. Greens were in excellent condition. Not a lot of amenities...no water provided on the course and no GPS in the carts. I would definitely play again while in the area.

The staff ( fashionable and cool lady) was so great

One of my friend’s brother passed away when we were there and had to leave the course.

So we were back to the starter and sent him home and asked the lady at the starter to see if we can play for the start.

She kindly accommodated us to play from the start.

Very friendly and courteous.

Didn't realize until we signed in that it was a shotgun start. We were on Hole 6B, so the start time was actually later than the 1:00 p.m. tee time we paid for.

Lots of stress worrying whether we would finish in time.

They should have disclosed the 'shotgun' situation.

The course had two holes, #10 and #13 that were unplayable due to flood damage near the greens. I called the course directly prior to making my reservation and asked if the course was completely open as other courses in the area had flood damage from the recent rains. The attendant stated it was completely open. The yardages were difficult to judge as the only markers were on the cart paths and usually fairly far from the middle of the fairways. The carts had no GPS to assist. make sure you take a range finder with you that also measures slope. Would love to play it again under better conditions.

The course was closed at my reservation time-12/24. You didn’t refund fee. Please check it and refund my fee. And explain how to find your refund notice.

11 am was the only available start time. It turned out to be a shotgun start. The course was in great condition. FYI, the range is at the Santa Rosa course. The greens may look better in spring but rolled true and fast.

Nice course. And well manicured. The only problem is upon booking was not informed the driving range was at the Santa Rosa course which was quite a ways away. So could not warm up and there was no chipping allowed anywhere near the putting green area . And all they had was a putting green. Wish I was informed of that upon booking.

I went to the wrong golf course pro shop, because that’s where your google maps sent me. That made me late for my tee time, but they fit me in with the next group

was extremely surprise with the condition and layout. front 9 is a bit short with 4 par 3 and only one par 3 on the back 9. Greens and fairways were in good condition. Would definitely play again.

First time playing this course and did not disappoint. In fantastic condition! Although the greens are still healing from overseeding. Great playable but challenging layout. Played only 12 holes, late afternoon tee time. Will play again.
