West at Orangebrook Country Club
About
Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood boasts two 18-hole courses, the East and the West. The golf courses are about equal in difficulty but each offers a different set of challenges. The West Course was added over 20 years after the original East Course, which was built in the 1930s. This newer layout has more water hazards and there are also several massive bunkers treacherously lurking about the greensides. The challenging elements are nicely balanced by wide-open, player-friendly fairways and small greens with few breaks. The golf course is overall very forgiving but it offers interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to players of all skill levels. In addition to the two golf courses, Orangebrook C.C. boasts extensive practice facilities that include a spacious lighted driving range with distance markers and a practice bunker.

West side
I've played this course many times. The rough is getting out of control, if you don't keep it in the fairway you can almost always kiss your ball goodbye. It's a good course which with some improvements could be a great course.
Good shape and value
Course was in good shape and well taken care of. Only downside was the front nine on the West course - the rough was like playing in Scotland. Grass very deep. Someone would lose a ball in it, when all four in the group watched where it went.
Overall, this made our play more challenging and fun.
Lots of deep rough.
Decent course. The rough needs to be cut, very hard to find your ball in some areas of the fairway because the rough is so long. Sand traps in need of sand also. Still 2 Decent courses to play.
West Course
Beautifull Course, little of sand in the greens sometimes but for the price, the staff, an the main course its a good golf course with all range, chipping and putter practices areas.
Always in time and the staff available for whatever you need!!
Fully recomended
Ever hear of water?
The greens should have been call “browns” or “deads.” Fairways were ok but the sand bunkers were also hard like concrete. The greens were so dead and yellow I thought that’s why the course was named “orange.” Pace of play was fine. Course layout weird and no cart service while out there.
Good Service overall needs a Marshall
Several inexperienced Golfers Hopping holes, creating delays...needs a Marshall
The course was close
I bought tee time for a party of two and the course Oranbrook was close for flooding ! I call and they refused to return my money
Grounds
Most courses would have shut down do to the amount of water on the course. There were 8 holes close on the west an 16 closed on the east. We were going from oneside to the other course just to play 9 holes an know one me u til I had Checked in.
Course under water
West course is open Golfnow is advertising pay now for a better rate ($58) for two golfers only to arrive to the course and be told only 9 holes are open for play and the club house is charging $15 per golfer. Really would've like better communication between the Golf course and GolfNow as I had to burn one of my tee cancelations at no fault of my own.
We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your visit. We strive to ensure our communication is clear and up-to-date, and it's clear we missed the mark this time.
