West at Orangebrook Country Club
About
Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood boasts two 18-hole courses, the East and the West. The golf courses are about equal in difficulty but each offers a different set of challenges. The West Course was added over 20 years after the original East Course, which was built in the 1930s. This newer layout has more water hazards and there are also several massive bunkers treacherously lurking about the greensides. The challenging elements are nicely balanced by wide-open, player-friendly fairways and small greens with few breaks. The golf course is overall very forgiving but it offers interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to players of all skill levels. In addition to the two golf courses, Orangebrook C.C. boasts extensive practice facilities that include a spacious lighted driving range with distance markers and a practice bunker.

Golf Balls get lost easliy
OranageBrooke Golf Club has 2 courses ( East & West). I played the West, the conditions and layout are all the same. for both courses.
Pros:: Very friendly Staff ( everytime: I've played here (4x ) in the last two years). I have never been paired up with anyone ( Lucky?) .So pace of play is Fast.
Cons: They don't cut the grass often . 1st and 2nd cut off the fairway are not managed.. You can hit a great shot that rolls off the fairway a few feet and its lost or very hard to find. When you find it, its not an easy 2nd shot most of the time. Last time I played here ( East Course), they were cutting the fairways, the result was huge clumps of grass everywhere. Like piles of hay, still making it difficult to find your ball. If they cut the fairway more often, I know the golf outing would be more enjoyable instead of fustrating finding balls that should be easy to spot.
Water and landscape don't come into play too often, so most bad shots are recoverable ( if they CUT THE GRASS).
The Greens have lots of crab-grass mixed in, but its cut short and rolled tight, so while not perfect,, they do a great job working with current condition. The Sand traps all get an A- , tee-box gets a B-. The price and the fact that few people play here keeps be coming back when visiting the area.
West course/overall review
They got rid of the driving range.small chipping/putt area. Golf carts are electric. Some days they have a mobile cart. You get what you pay for not a bad course to practice driver.
The course it self, tee boxes ain’t bad like 7/10.
The rough is really rough some areas off the fairway are over 8-12 inches of grass. Greens were okay a lot of weeds in the greens. Bunkers were semi maintain.
This course is losing its value
There is little to no parking the driving range is gone. They need a better drainage system. It's sad when it rain half of the course is shut down because of the water
Greens need work
Half the greens need work. Some are just unputtable with crabgrass. Balls will not put true. Layout is great. Mostly wide open with good hazards.
Cheap golf, and at that price, worth the trip
On vacation and since Hollywood Beach course is closed for renovation, decided to play this one. I actually prefer the West course over the East course, and had never played it before. During this trip, I have played the course 5 times, and become more familiar with it. There is a lot of water hazards on the course. The bunkers are in poor condition. The greens are not in good condition but were better than the East course. The rough was extremely long and wet early in the week, and playing early morning they were were wet. Now later in the week, they did cut the rough, but not in good condition around the greens, Worth the $24 I paid with GolfNow discount.
Course has a great layout. .
The course has a great layout; however, the rough needed cutting and some Greens needed improvement.
5 Hr Round
It feels like this Golf course has lost its way .5 6 7 people playing on a hole at a time do you know unfair it is to other poeple playing here .
Good course
I play these courses weekly. The greens are a little better than last week and they've clean and cut the rough areas. Thee driving range is now closed and parking areas are very small. Going to be a real problem when the Canadians come to town. Also they finally put water bottles on a few holes but no water in them?
